how to check trichome to see if there ready to harvest without damaging trichomes

My plants are at 51 days now and i want to check the trichomes to see if there ready to harvest (going to harvest at 1/3 amber, 2/3 cloudy) but I only have the little pocket microscope that requires you to put it right on the bud to see anything. This one:

Would I be able to see the trichome color with this one (i wouldn't have to hold it against the buds):

If you had a pocket microscope. It requires you to put it right on the bud to see anything but that's okay

I don't like those pocket microscopes either.. Very cumbersome. The 40x from Amazon should work fine. I use a 30x and it does the job..

I have and have used BOTH of the ones you have listed.. The Pock one is just junk.. the 40X lupe will work fine..
