Dope doesn't grow in water in nature either. We do it all the time. It's call hydroponics. Most plants don't flower in december either. This is called indoor gardening. I'm here to tell ya it can be beneficial to go dark for up to 3 days prior to harvest.I don't think that the dark period b4 flower does anything but stress the plant out. def not necessary. Only reason i say that is cuz it dont happen in nature.

This concept is based on the fact that our vegetables produce sugar at night as a natural sunscreen. Throughout the day this degrades. This is why you always harvest right at or before lights on. If you allow them more night time they will keep producing their sunscreen up to a point. That being said, If your plant is not in good health the positive results will be less. This is not based on my opinion it is what I have experienced thru several crops.

and the science behind that is.. ?If I am about to pull a single bud from a plant (sometimes...not often) I will wrap it in tin foil for a week before cutting....seems to help my flavor
