24hour light double yield

You can acheive almost what you want with a staging area for flowering. If you have enough space to put the plants in dark phase on a shelf, then you have enough space
to put 9 smaller plants in Veg\Early flowering stage. Batch them out over time ... 9 plants cloning, 9 plants Veg, 9 plants in flower. Only the Flower room has to be large with heavy duty lighting. The only key to this is timing, so that you don't overgrow the Veg space.

Repeat after me. Light saturation.

If your plants are getting weak/inadequate lighting then they would benefit from 24/0. If they are getting proper light, they will not use 24hrs worth. The rest will be wasted electricity or worse, start to degrade the chlorophyl in the leaves and damage the plant.

The notion that leaves grow in the sun and roots grow in the dark is not true. The plant grows as a whole. The leaves use the energy from photosynthesis along with the nutrients & oxygen from the roots to grow together. When the lights are off, the plant uses its stored energy to grow.

I have done 24/0 and had no problems. I read about light saturation. Then I really considered the actual difference in growth rate rather than what I expected or wanted to see. I see little to no difference using 20/4 or 18/6.

IMO youd be better off dialing in other environmental aspects of the grow. You have much more actual control of growth rate and eventual yield if you focused on things like soil quality, air circulation, light quality, maintaining a healthy root zone & healthy foliage, training, etc.

week 3.jpgi am 3 weeks from germination. does this look right? no nutes yet and the brown spots are from light burn. please help i am a total newb.

18/6 will have very comparable growth to 24/0... with less electric bill... also less shock when going from veg to flower

Think I'm gonna work out about building my own unit as I can make it the shape I want. Ill have a grow diary up when it's set up and running. 9plants in 6.5 litre pots to pull a oz each under a 600w with lst :)

Not sure I understand the question. Are you talking about using a flip box for two separate rooms? Or are you asking is running lights for 24 hours, will double the yield. If so, the latter will revert them back to veg.
Nine ounces out of a tent Is easily doable depending on strain, method, and environmental factors.
ok..I guess I understand what you mean.moving plants in and out and such. Just seems odd. Get the yield you want out of the tent with fewer plants and save your self the extra effort but I applaud your efforts.
