24hour light double yield

i see it as a pain in the ass perpetual grow but its genius to save room and without buying another light!!!!!!!
i think i gave thought to this once long ago when i started growing, but really its not the most ideal way to live. this really ties you down to the grow. id rather have another light and tent, but if it what i had to do for that $$$ id do it. but personally i would do 9 small plants and 4 bigger ones. to cut down on all the plants moving and losing track of whos turn in the light.

so basically youre just leaving the light on 24 hours, but swapping one half of your plants for another every 12 hours, so theyre only on an opposit 12 hour liht pattern, BRILLIANT!!!!! itll work great, i wuld still go with only 2-4 plants for your yied that you want, plus make sure your dark area is DARK, and also all the same exhaust an airflow, especially during flowering itll stink!!!!!!!
Anyone done this? I don't have room for a second tent due to odd shape and don't see tall tents with shelves built just to be a dark area. I'm gonna go for 18 plants 9 inside the tent at a time hoping I hit an oz per plant under a 600w inside 6.5l pots

4 or 8 total, either 2 or 4 at a time, yield will be BIGGER with less plants, no bs, proven many times over, especially in a tent!!!!!!

So you are saying or you read that 24 hours of light through veg instead of 18/6 will get you double the yield in flower? No, not even remotely true. If you are doing autos then 20/4 is suppose to be the best light schedule but the differences between 24 on and 20 on for autos in nothing. So either way you have obtained incorrect info.

EDIT:I see. So it's swapping plants between 12 hours of light and darkness. Nothing new but I admit I haven't heard of this for some time. If you want to do all that work it will save you about 25 bucks a month in electric, it's something. I just have three flower rooms going and pay the extra bill as I have no time to mess around with moving plants every 12 hours.

Lol sup hydrocropper420 :p

all i was sayin is going 24/7 wont increase yield only by topping n how many after that, and i know that growers bible is old but there is some good info in that book that i cant complain lol ive done a few things stated in there n hasnt done me wrong :D

to the user who posted this thread, i wouldnt go 24/7 in wont increase yield mabe speed things up a bit but also like what "Ganjapussy" has said cannabis needs a dark period it helps make the roots grow i totally agree with him on that.. hence why when you go n put your plants in the sun/light she grows about 1/2 inchs a day its cause during the dark period it HELPS lol good luck!

I go 24/7 because it is FOOL PROOF.. you mix grass and time together, for a guy like me, fool proof is good.

What do I want roots to grow fast for (dark period grows roots).. I use small pots and the roots fill em out just fine.. if they grew any more or any faster I would be in some real doo.

----

I've done this as well.. lot's.. move plants in and out through flowering times.. just don't plan any outings and you'll be ok. Works for some like myself who doesn't go out much ..... not so well for probably 'most'.

Yes, the OP should of posted relevant info in first post.

This system doesn't save a dime on electric. The lights are still on 24 hours at same strength whether one does this or has two flower rooms doing 12/12. It's saves one the extra equipment costs but adds more work. Kinda silly when you think about it.

Really? Because the difference for me was a half ounce a plant... But, thank you for letting me know. I'll switch right back to 24/7.......
Not an auto person, I think they are silly. But my friend does them, mostly royal queens now, and he has experimented with all light cycles for almost 2 years and he only noticed that 20 and 24 produced more then 18, but no differences between 20 and 24. I guess if a half oz a plant is a lot to you and what you say is really true, then you better keep your 24/7 going. Maybe try growing some regulars or fems so you can get an actual YIELD.

no pissing matches, we all do what we think works, we all think we think we know what were doing, in the end, we all find out what wored or what didnt work, then w all comment on our personal experienced grows, lets all input our xperiences and let the OP make up his mind from the most wisdom he sees in the thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was being sarcastic. 20 hours on gave me a half oz more then 24 on. With ZERO dark time. I don't see how you couldn't see a difference. Especially in two years.......... Cough*

My limit is 24 plants. I have 12 at any given time. I get 3.5ozs ea that's 42oz's in 55-60 days... You're right... That's shit for yield... And maybe if I had my limit plant count I would get 84oz's every two months... Oh but that's just a tad bit better.. No real difference.

If you're not a auto man. Don't talk. Because honestly, anyone who's grown autos got nothing but love for them. The ones who haven't grown them, hate on them. Just like a player hater. Well! Don't hate the auto hate the grower! Fuck your friend I have 8 years experience

If you are very disciplined and do not plan to go away from home for more than 12 hours at a time it should work.
Think you will end up having some serious juggling twice a day to ensure the full 12 hour dark period per set though.
