#2 came out to 8 oz dried. This was taking up just 1/4 of the space under a 600 watt for all but the final 2 weeks of flowering.
I would guess at my usual 4 plants per 600 hps the #2 would have pulled 1.75 lbs.
But yes, I see where the "average" talk comes from. This smoke is probably 1/2 of the potency of #1. #1 is tough competition though... very potent.
Seeing as #1 is the best Indica dom plant I have grown (yield, potency, taste, smell) (yield and potency, very very high), and #2 is by far the largest, highest yielding plant I have grown, I am VERY curious just what else there is to find in these G13 seeds. With many of the seeds we all grow there are "phenos" that we take notice of and talk about.. I have never heard people talk of the phenos of these seeds. That makes me all the more curious. #2 might be a little bit novelty (avatar material for sure), #1 is fucking amazing, there has to be more very special plants in there. Any increase on yield of #1 while holding the quality would be incredible. The yield is already fantastic. If you can't tell, the fact that I only saw 2 plants of the gene pool is sort of bugging me..haha. The 10 fem Bubba OG that I just got should help with the pain though. I should get a very good look at what the Bubba OG has to offer.
I have had bad luck with heavily indica dom plants in the past. I have found amazing quality but yield is always low. I hear people say that Sativas yield less, indicas more, but that has not been the case in my experience. The great thing about #1 is I finally found that heavy narcotic stone in a plant that yields very well. Also, I finally found something with higher yields than my green crack plant. I thought I had hit a ceiling when I got that plant.
My writing here is all scattered, apologies, it must be tough to read. I had a looong week. On Sunday friend and I are going to relax, BBQ and really get into this G13 #2. I should have more to say about the smoking experience, potency, stuff like that.
