Tiniest grow possible for a beginner?

Hey all, I'm not much of a smoker, but I do enjoy it occasionally, and the idea of being able to grow my own is amazing! I should be moving to my own place in the fall and the guy I'm gonna be living with is down to try to grow something so I'm pretty pumped. For right now, though, I'm stuck at home. If my parents thought I even knew what marijuana was, I'd be in another country lol, but my mom is out of town for at least a month and I think I can find some good hiding spots (I'll list my options below and see what you guys think) b/c my dad doesn't go into my room ever and it's just us two in a decent sized house.

Alright so my question: what is the smallest/cheapest/easiest grow I could possibly do?

I'm not doing this for any actual smoking purposes (if I could yield even .1 g I'd be stoked), but rather because I'd like to get some practical experience (I've been reading the stickies here and on other websites but I think I'll understand it a lot better when I'm actually doing it)

Some possible growing areas:
- I've got a good sized backyard, it has a couple dying rose bushes, and there's a small ex-vegetable patch
- In the backyard there's a two story shed (I don't think I'd be able to do it inside, I wouldn't want the smell the stay)
- Behind the shed there's some space between it and the fence to our back that I don't think anyone would ever see (also there's a dead tree thing back next to it that could maybe conceal anything)
- Inside the house I've got a small walk-in closet that might be usable if I clear it out, but it's risky if my dad goes in there (he shouldn't, unless there's a smell though)
- I've read about shot glass grows, but that's out of my skill level. If you know of anything like that that a noob could do I'm all for it!

why would you consider undermining your mother who has worked so hard to raise you and provide a safe home for you?? just wait until you move into your own place, really not worth upsetting your mother when the reward will probably be improperly grown schwagg. no offense but seriously get a grip and respect your mother's property.

If you really want to grow to get some experience do it off their property - i.e. guerilla grow in the woods, nature trail, ect.

I see what you're saying. I did not intend to disrespect my parents in any way, as I know they care a lot about me and all, which is why I was wanting to do something small only for practice until I move out. I just thought this would be a good way to learn before I can get a real setup going. Thanks for your input, I'll look into guerilla growing

Yes Agree try an outside grow, until you have a place under your own control. Keep in mind who is paying for it and who ends up with liability.
I grew outside through high school and college as I could find safe places. Started plants inside and transplanted outside almost like a Johnny appleseed. My mom did tolerate a few seedlings around the house after they got used to the idea that I was medicating. But they always went away before the plants grew up.

She did let me grow some tomato plants and now I'm a very knowledgeable cannabis cultivator. How about you start with something that isn't illegal - if you're not going for the smoke then why risk your future, eh? Tomato plants can grow side-by-side with cannabis plants, they're almost the same deal up until flowering (growing the tomato). If you can get some little red tomatoes going then you'll be more than ready to create some buds when the time is right.

Growing outside seems kind of intimidating to me to be honest. I live in a suburban area and would rather grow indoors if I could help it. Growing tomatos is a pretty sweet idea, thanks for that

Agreed. If its soley for experience grow somethin that wont get u or ur parents arrested. If ur interested in bud take about 20-30 bag seeds, walk into the woods until youve passed ur own property line, pick a tree that you can recognize from a distance, clear a spot n put em there. 2x2 area without a bunch of weeds and other growth around it should be fine. dump em as evenly as possible, take ur finger n press em in about an inch., cover em with a lil soil n walk away. just remember where you put em. im constantly losing my outdoors

Yeah dude seriously your trying to fuck up your moms life and you sound pretty stupid to begin with so the likely hood of you getting caught is veryhigh.
You realize if you get caught your mom also gets into trouble and if they wanted to could take her house and everything she owns , don't even get me started if she rents .

If you want to get your self caught grow some balls and go throw one up outside in a park or something at least it only fucks your life up that way
