Fox farm ocean forest soil

Hearing alot of good things about the ocean forest soil. If i wanted to use that do i add anything to that soil or just plant right into it. Have some lowryder in 3'' peat moss cups. when should i transplant.

i transplanted mine when the leaf opened up .. my roots were sticking out of bottom of one peat pellet .. i was like damn son .. i moved mine into a regular plastic cup with potting soil in it.. just what i did .. you might try some thing different someone else recommends

i see that most people dont add anything to this soil
and dont have to feed nutrients for about 3weeks

I"m kinda under the notion that the FF and other soils/nutes are defato standards. Not saying they are bad, but the 'other leading brands' probably aren't far behind with a little TLC.

With that said....

I'm using FF Ocean and MG moisture control. (not together, but different plants) So far it seems good, but not making clone x grow faster then clone Y in the MG. (maybe I've been lucky)

I also add in more perlite and a pinch of vermiculite to the FF soil. Just by feel.
(perlite and a little blood meal to the MG)

Hi - I was wondering if you noticed and major differences with your plants since your last post. I am curious as I have been reading a lot articles where growers are saying all MG products are for shit..

Make sure you add in a couple tbsp of dolomitic lime to every bag of FFOF and some more perlite for drainage. Aside from that you are good to go...first few weeks it has enough nutes already in the soil so dont add anything for atleast 3 to 4 weeks depending on how much you water. Obviously the more frequently you water the faster you will flush the nutes out.
