When you say "chronic or kush" do you mean the actual strains Chronic and Kush strains?
Or do you mean, when you buy a 20 bag on the street they call it "kush" or call it "chronic" meaning its "dank"?
Sometimes referred to as "dro" (even if it was grown in soil).

Kush is a lemony pinesol type smell/taste ( og's anyway not the true legit landrace kush).
While there is a chronic strain, I have never heard someone refer to "chronic" and actually mean that specific strain. They are always referring to "good pot" regardless of strain.

The sour diesel I have smoked has been like a burnt rubber, hint of skunk type smell.

Had some last evening, in fact, and it has a very citrus/pinesol/chemical taste (though not at all unpleasant, as these words may make you think) that is reminiscent of diesel fuel's smell.

I'm new to the whole 'strain' game, yeah, street terms kush=light green, heady high, chronic=one hit high i.e. dank. Hydro? yes, I have had some of it all. I would have to say the kush I've had is the better of them all.

Yeah street names like that have very little to do with what the actual strain is, people can have something like Super Silver Haze and just call it "kush" because the word sells.

The "O.G" kush strains generally have a very lemon pinesol smell.
I have had diesel and I have had Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze. In both of those the diesel smell wasnt lemon pinesol, it was more gritty and acidic smelling. It isn't what I consider a good smell or taste. The SSSDH has just barely a hint of the sour diesel and mostly a very fruity berry type smell.
