Cloning gone bad?

I'm afraid my clones might have lost it. I took them using Clonex exactly as people say on the net, and put them not in rockwool but another substance for that purpose. Now almost all of them act as if they are severly dehydrated. Too bad if I can't save a single one of them.
So I'm asking you... how are clones supposed to look like and act during their first 12-24 hours?

Whats the other substance? They will droop but should snap back. What lights, temps hum and such?

U using rooter plugs? If so never used em so can't help. Shoulda just stuck with rockwhool it's almost idiot proof.

I just did a clone off comparing my cloner to my new turbokloner so I have some images of clones in my second journal if you'd like to see. We really need more information to help you. I've used Rockwool, Root Riot cubes and a home made and store bought aero cloner in my search to get cloning better.

During the first 24 hours I expect my clones to stay upright. If my clones flop all the way over they usually don't make it. I find that can be indicative of an air embolus in the stem of the clone. So now I coat my clone's stems in Clonex and then make a second 45 degree cut with a razor blade about 1/4 to 1/2 inch above the first cut (if I can). When I am taking clones from seedlings I'm putting into flower early I don't re-cut and I don't coat with Clonex those extremely young ones I've rooted just putting them in their collars in the KLN solution I run in my Turbokloner.

Young clones taken from immature mothers IMO, should be domed or covered unless where they are being kept has a high humidity.
Mature clones taken from a mature mother as where the branches has had time to get thick and sturdy are more likely to survive regardless of how high the humidity is...
It just cant be to low...
And do not be to concerned with adding them additives clonex and such , as I clone with none of that with a 99.9% success rate..

That's what I was looking for. Sorry for being a little secretive but I've been told not to spread too much info about this even on the net.
Also, if you don't mind me asking, what was Your success rate during your first cloning?

Spread too much info about what? Cloning failures? Too late - somebody, in fact millions of somebodies, beat you to it. Feel free to share more info.

Three days and all clones seem to he fine. They looked a little bad in the beginning, but now all plants have turned at least most of their leaves toward the light. So far so good. Imagine if I get to have all 15, since I planned on about 5-8 of them surviving. A little extra work but I certainly don't mind a few extra mother plants.

No roots so far
I tried briefly putting them under a 400w HPS but they became dehydrated. Temp is 70 or very slightly under, and for now I have to get along with a 10w ESL (which I WILL be upgrading to 150w as soon as I can). To start with I gave them tap water but a few days ago I lowered the PH a little. No extra nutes so far.
Bollerbloom of Romberg. Not the way to go. Now we know that. Root riot or rockwool for me next time. Plus a decent bulb.
Dang if this goes bad. I couldn't easily afford new seeds.

Dome..spray dome is not dewy looking. Use a small cfl. keep at about 78 degrees. oh and up to two weeks for roots depending on strain.

OK, I'm at the point where I know at least 3 Critical clones have survived. I'll have to run by the store to get some soil before I (try to) plant them. Handsome roots when I looked under the plugs if you ask me, but some (especially Grapefruit clones) will not survive.
Now we know so much that rooting plugs can be used, but rockwool is still preferred especially when you plan on going hydro.
Next you could recommend a capable cloning system if you please?
