Until they went all blingy of late, I know what you mean. The Range Rover and its Japanese cousin, the FJ40 Land Cruiser, had an honest functional ugliness imo. cn

Congrats on the Number of the Post!
In honor of the occasion, voilà the Beast! Merlin aero V12 with 27 liters (almost 1700 ci) displacement! It looks oddly like a Pinto on Viagra ... cn

It was a one-off by some British fellow in the '70s. There are Youtube videos showing it running.

I was referring to your post #666.

<add> i grew up in the back of Fairlane station wagons. I was stoked when our dad upgraded to the one with the tailgunner seat. cn

you ever feel like you're talking to yourself?? lol, who would have thunk it that a person whose name is racerboy enjoys talking cars, :D

anyhoo's, anyone seen that new show on the speed channel, can you beat a redneck?? if not, it's pretty much some redneck's racing mostly american muscle vs imports.. i really don't care for the host all that much tbh, bur a decent concept imvho, could use with a change of hosts though if one were to ask me, which i'm sure they wouldn't... :(

that's it for the lightning? i knew i wasn't that impressed, now i know why..
no thats not it lol. numbers are wrong. my buddy has a lightning and we ran it while it was stock and it ran 14 flat. bigger pulley, cold air intake, and some suspension work put him in the 12.7-13.0 range. still not a big fan of them though.

those SS's were actually pretty bad ass. i got a buddy with one and his dad has one too. its a good like quarter mile truck but the stock gearing of that truck makes it scream on the highway. its at like 4500-5k range at 60 or so lol
