Thank u...urs is good too....guess I could lose the gnat traps...they've been in my set up for bout 6months...ha..as u can see they've more than done their job....I guess they still catch an occasional lone gnat passing thru...since I switched soils haven't had too many of em.

Can the hub be made at the first true node or is it recommwnded to have the hub at the second node? I do not need any clones thats why I am asking.

That is the first "true" node...those little side branches at the bottom don't amount to as much as the ones that come from first node....did u read thru everything closely...?

Chopped my babies today (LSD & Hash Passion), and started mainlining almost all of them. If I had not seen photographic proof that this works, I would be really stressed about cutting off that much vegetation :) More pics in my log.

From what I understand the first true node is after the cotyledon leaves?
i would avoid the first true node......imo the best are anywhere between the 4th and 6th...you need to let the seedling grow a root mass first before hacking it back......you will slow it way down if you prune without roots first.

First of all, thank you gor your amazing work and contributions nugs. Im really inspired by what you have done.

Now, I actually intend to wait until it grows 5-6 nodes before pruning for two, however I am still wondering if the pruning can be done at the first node. That is, after the plant is approx 8 inches tall? I have some height-issues that is why I am asking, want to keep it as low as possible. This can indeed be solved when transplanting, just need to transplant a little lower into the next smart pot. But good to know if there is another reason not ti prune at first node..

Instead of hacking that much plant off Why don't you just go for 16 and lay them down until the 16 grow up.

Mainly because it will extend the veg. Period quiet a bit, no?. And also, I think it will be a little tight with 16 tops per plant in my grow room

That right there is the key to main lining without losing a lot of valuable veg time. Thanks nugs much respect!

i would advise using the second true node then....sometimes the first on can be retarded......also when you transplant from your quart or small starter pot to your flower pot, plant it deep to bring the overall height down a bit.....if i can run seed plants in my tiny test cab, so can everyone else.....good luck
