Street light goes down...LED grow light goes up!

A good friend was in charge during a mishap in a college parking lot here in California.
While my Buddy was cleaning up the busted pole (he is the foreman for the clean-up) he noticed it was LED.
Brought it to me.
barely warm when at operational temp..
"Relume"
it's got 20 LED's in seems to put out about as much light as my 17 watt LED spots but in a bigger area.(and much cooler) the heatsink is a GIANT aluminum plate.
It's an Illumidisk 20. 100 watt power supply...

Anyone else have one?

The price was right.

The seven 11 down the street swapped all indoor and lot lights for white led. They are bright as furck. You can see the cops chillin from so far away.

edit: looks like a 25w unit, can you post a close-up of the face with all the diodes on them? do all the diodes look the exact same?

I wouldn't be worried about "whether or not they grow", rather what your goals in growing are. Supplemental light isn't necessary, obviously, but can and will increase yield (among other things). The heavy blue influence in a CW will damage your plant but it will compensate via a vigorous vegetation, "protecting" itself (trichome production), leafier buds than a red dominated spectrum, etc.

I say plug it in and find out, though. I'm but a foolish human, after all!

hard at work...

I like your light...

IMO it should work well at providing good light with your other lights for your plants.

The white LED provide a lot of beneficial blue light in the range of 425 - 500 nm for plants as well as some in the reds but not as much.
The 5000K LED light is very much like growing under MH but without the heat.

Keep us posted on progress and experience with this light...
