This is all you need. My original batteries are still in it. It's made for pot.

Resist the urge to go variable or go higher power. I also advise one of these. I use this even more.

Hydrofarm sells the same damned light for almost $12.00 Same light. Buy this one. Again my original batteries are in it. Carry this one in your pocket to go to the dispensary for MMJ or for street buys (right under a good streetlight holding it up for a clear view, right?)

I would lose the scope all together and when they are full, plump and all the hairs are retracted into the calyxes. I wrote about this in another thread too. I see tons of people chopping plants early due to cloudy trichs. I have had amber at 5 weeks and that doesnt mean they are ready for picking.

Agree. Look at the whole picture. Disagree in that a good scope or loupe is part of getting that picture. Better results chopping bud with all cloudy trichs and white pistils left than brown "hairs" showing because of heat or deficiency or age.

I have your scope, it's made by carson I think and sold under many different labels including radioshack. I use it right on the plant but it does take practice.

I think you would really like the jewlers loop that hotrod mentioned above. It operates more like a magnifying glass so it's easier to use directly on the plant.

I just bought a carson digital scope for picture taking and videos. $50 on amazon but they are even harder to use directly on the plant. Hope this helps.

There is definately a point when you can leave it too long for sure. I like the look at the whole picture statement. Once you have a few really good grows under your belt a scope will not be AS helpful as good ole recognition and experience. Love the post HRH.

Glad you guys cleared that up bigv and hotrod cause I know you are both vets.

But as a noob, we should use all the tools until we have the same feel you guys do for when they're cooked!

I recently purchased )http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2179604&znt_campaign=Category_CMS&znt_source=CAT&znt_medium=RSCOM&znt_content=CT2032236) and was looking for something better. I have to cut a small leave off and put it on a flat surface in order to look at the trichs. Anyone know of a better one maybe a digital.
I just got this same scope and can't see a damned thing through it. Nothing.Played w/it 15 minutes on lowest power and could never get anything to come into focus

I want a simpler loupe.
