switch lights in final week or 2?

Hey all! I have a girl with less than 2 wks left, hopefully less than a wk. Not sure, first timer. Ill try to put pic on if anyone can help me know how long. Ive been goin with cfl(9 bulbs, 24000 lum, 377 watts). I just got t5 light(4ft, 8 tube, 432 wt, 40000 lumen, 2 tubes will be 6500k and 6 are 2700k). Im wondering if i can, or should, go ahead and switch em out. Thx for any help

This late in, I doubt you'd see a difference, but why not add the T5, and use the CFL's for side lighting?

I agree the extra light could help bcuz they love to swell those last couple of weeks.

The extra light will in doubt help to increase your yields here, potential for an increase in potency. I would not, however, suggest swapping your lights this late in the game. Just IMHO, she has been used to the light she has been currently receiving for the last x number of weeks, and swapping to something different for the last 2 weeks might even stress her to a certain extent. Not by much, but why ruin a good thing going?

Sorry i have to disagree! It will not stress them. I have my plants in a mix everyday! Sun for 4-5 hrs and the rest cfls. And there is absolutely NO stress. Actually they are way better than expected.

Keyword last "two weeks" and "not by much". I'm sure your mix is excellent! T5 setups running mixes generally produce some lovely buds. I just don't see swapping your lights for 14 days to be productive. This is obviously not an exact science, so experiment! Either way, OP, good luck on your harvest!

You might as well switch, you've got way more than 2wks left.. Theyre behind from not having enough light.. Just start high and run only 4 bulbs for a few days, add the other 4, for a few days then slowly lower light. I run t5s from start to finish doing a mix of bulbs and have great results.

Fan of the pandfilm sheeting I see Nick? What brand have you used in the past?

Got it from local shop, 6 mil black on 1 side white other.. I've switched to some stuff called reflectix from lowes and home depot... It's 4mil mylar glued together with string like packing tape.. Comes on a 4ft by 12ft roll for 12 bucks. Works great.

That reflectix sounds pretty sturdy, so your saying this is a total of 8mil, 2 full pieces? Sounds like it beats the hell out of my mere 90% reflective sheeting, probably almost as durable.Only problem I see here is that its still mylar, and cleaning her seems to be a big issue. I feel like my next step may be foilon if anything.

VERY happy to say i have been enjoyin my bb girl. Got a loupe TWO days after i chopped. Shoulda waited few more days tho i like the body buzz it gives. Most trichs were still clear, some cloudy, maybe 2 or 3 amber. Strong as hell, burns my eyes just cutting up bud! lol This was my first successful try. THX to all that helped me! Workin on next ones now.
