Those in the pics are various forms of Sarracenia, Drosera, Flytrap, and Nepenthes. I can for sure post more pictures later.
Raw meat isn't the best actually. He keeps fruit fly cultures and lets ghose go in with the plants from time to time. Also he feeds whatever he finds crawing around.

You can feed them insects but not beetles I found out probally would be best to use tweezers for spiders and such so you don't get bit or stung

ya but i dont want to have to go chase down bugs for my plants. normally im taking precautions to get rid of bugs lol. i guess what im trying to say is do they make food substitutes for them? do they even actually NEED to eat bugs?

When they are seedlings the really don't need to eat. He releases wingless fruit fly cultures in the domes and the plants will eat those in a couple of days. In the summer the trays will go outside and they will become mass murderes destroying any little bug that comes into their path. Some people will grind up betta pellets into a powder and sprinkle that over their plants. He doesn't do that. We like to keep things organic.

Bright light. Just like weed they love light. A difference though is they like to be a bit more humid. Also they do well in solo cups vs. the store pots because their roots are pretty long. Feed an ant or something once in a while. Stay away from anything that will rot. Bugs, not hamburger.

Another good way is to put something dead or smelly by it to attract fliesnice i was thinking about doing a bunch outdoors and see how they do. then i dont gotta feed them

Glad I too found this in the thousands of posts here .. Very impressive collection of Insectivorous plants your son has there .. I love Botany well outside of the Marijuana field of study .. Plants simply amaze me and the carnivore plants even more so ..

Professor - I agree 100%. We have tons of plants around here. A nice garden, giant pumpkins, I have a large orchid collection, SUPER hot peppers. We grow all sorts of stuff.

This is a Pygmy Drosera in flower. Of the ones he has I like the Pygmy Drosera species the most.
Some Drosera affinis leaf starts. Pretty cool really, float a leaf and in a month or so a new plant will grow.
A small 'Fused Tooth' Flytrap seedling.
