Wonder who the Japanese Americans incarcerated in prison camps in California were rooting for ?
That's relevant to the discussion how? I'll agree that internment camps were horrible; but this guy was talking about how wrong nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki was.

You already admitted that being ordered to kill civilians is a war crime, meaning its wrong.

I didn't say internment camps were right. Please explain exactly how they make dropping nukes on two Japanese cities wrong; seeing as that was your issue here. Internment camps happened after the war started. They didn't attack us because of the internment camps, so how are they relevant?

Internment camps were outright profiling due to paranoia; clearly wrong. Those nukes were dropped on a country full of people who had been indoctrinated for years to believe that our Marines had to kill their own mothers to join. They were throwing themselves off of cliffs to avoid surrender at other points of the war. How do you honestly think it would go if we had put ground troops on mainland Japan? I remember reading stories about Japanese troops who were finally surrendering DECADES after the war ended. You're clearly confused if you think a commander in chief that gives a damn about his troops is going to send them into that shitstorm. Fun fact: Civvies in occupied territories tend to fight back; I direct you to the history of damn near every other invasion known to human history. If you think the citizens of Japan would have just rolled over, you need to read up on some history bud.

Cos they have privately owned firearms in Japan and all...

What's it called again when you kill civilians to influence political policy? That's right, terrorism.

Except, it was a multinational war. The US decided US troops (AKA: US Citizens) were more valuable than Japanese citizens. It was to stop a war, we didn't bomb them by surprise. You can keep avoiding the subject, but you still keep failing to explain how Japanese lives should take precedence in a war they started. Please, explain exactly why more US troops should have died to keep this war pressed all the way until they finally gave up. An explanation of why more Americans should have died to save the lives of the countrymen of those that attacked us would actually show the bomb as an incorrect decision.

Technically you're saying if they had the capacity, they would've been justified to nuke yous back?

If we had allied with Germany and attacked Japan pre-emptively instead, and then proceeded to have all our troops to fight to the death, yes. In light of the fact that they were the aggressors, no.

What prevents them from strapping bombs to their women like they already did during the war? Ignoring the fact that making more guns isn't hard when you've retooled tons of plants to make firearms.; the Japanese were the OG suicide bombers...anyone remember the Kamikazes?

No life is worth more just because you put America or Japan in front of it. But people in the military signed up with the possibility of dying. That way they can have a latrine named after them. Not civilians.

I took an oath to defend Americans when I joined the military. I don't recall swearing to die for the people arming the people trying to kill me. In short: I agreed to shoot the people that shot at you; nowhere did I agree to die for something that helps you feel less icky. Keep reaching though, this is amusing.

I see you still can't manage to actually form an argument based on facts and logic. Good to know you'll be scrubbing something named after me though; you're fit to scrub shit-stains out of something, I'm glad you'll be reminded of me at this most unpleasant time for you. I mean, if you're maintaining a toilet named after me, what does that say about you? :)

No offense, not trying to be an ass, but I didn't ask you to. It's like when George got a certificate stating the giver gave money in your name to a charity. How would it make a christian feel if your charity was the Church of Satan. Or, Uncle Buck an NRA sponsor. Now it's definitely funny, but, I wouldn't expect them to be thrilled.

Are you saying that extra troops dying to avoid dropping fat man and little boy is the same as Buck getting money donated to the NRA under his name? Either I misunderstood you, or you have a hell of a parallel to draw. I'm really hoping it's the former.
