Chernobyl or Space Dawg....for Medical Use

I have been growing for approximately a year and a half now, and I want to try some of TGAs genetics soon. I hear his stuff is wonderful, but I want to try something that is not only enjoyable to vape, but will be medically beneficial for me as well.

I have a familial tremor disorder and high eye pressure (glaucoma is pretty much inevitable in my family).

Both Chernobyl and Space Dawg sound great, but which do you guys think is a better choice and why. I am only looking for info from those who have actually grown or smoked these specific strains......Thanks.

By the way, if the strains we already have growing would factor into your decision, I currently have Delahaze, White Widow, Cheese and Pineapple Express in our rotation.

I'd recommend TGA's Vortex, shes a great short plant that grows popcorn all over the place and mine started developing trichs in about week 3 of veg :bigjoint:

Thanks ROFL,
My husband wants me to grow vortex as well, but I don't think it would fit with my medical needs. Subcool describes it as heart racing and energizing.....with my medical issues, I can't function properly after a can of coca cola, I don't think it is a good choice.
I am looking for a strain to replace the MEDICAL advice that has been given to me. Doctors put me on primidone four times a day at 18 yrs old and were discussing deep brain stimulation surgery as their next step. After less than six months of life as a zombie, I weened myself off the meds and changed my diet drastically. Although changing my diet helped, I still use pot every few days to keep the shaking in check. If I lived in an area that was more open to the medical benefits this plant can offer, I would just go to a dispensary and try several options. Sadly, the police in the state of Texas are quite ridiculous about my little plants.
My hazes are wonderful, but I like Subcool's emphasis on flavor and strong plants instead of the pollen chucking and chemical additives that are so prevalent in the industry. I still want to try one of his strains next time I bring new genetics into the mix.

Have you tried both? Or just Chernobyl. I know Subcool has written that it is a good one for tremors, and I may just stick with it, but Space Dawg sounded wonderful and effective as well. Is the taste distinctive? What do you like/dislike about it?

I would ask this question in subcools sub-forum "subcools old school organics".

There will be dozens of people that will chime in there and help you out.

Best of luck

Chernobyl is awsome for chilling with a nice smile to it, if you know what I meen. Only problem with it is the amount of phenos, I kept 2 for a while 1 limey (indica sided, but very mid 50-50 sativa/indi) and one I siad Cherry others siad cheap cola.... that grew whispy sativa sided.

Here pics of both phenos...

I accidently killed of the indica pheno, ment to keep her.
Lucky though I have a pack still in fridge

Wow, canna, the lime pheno is beautiful but they are both COVERED in resin. How many phenos are there?

If you check my journal I grew Chernobyl 5-6 years ago I loved the strain. You can see it start to finish in my journal ( my third time around)

I kept 2. 1 more sativa leaning (pic 1) other was indica dom but sativa smoke wise (pic 2)

Thats one plant that i shaped into 3 main colas, them pics of dried bud are from sativa one as others were solider-dense

i have my first round of chernobyl about 3 weeks into flower right, but have finished my pheno selection of space dawg and out of 7 females i had 6 worth growing again. i ended up keeping 2 cuts, 1 space queen dom that is super frosty and smells like pina colada/tropical fruit with a very faint funky undertone. its effects are pleasantly relaxing. the other pheno i kept is snodawg dom and it smells like lemons and she kicks you in the teeth, its a nighttime only smoke in my house. if you want an indica dom strain i dont think you will be disapointed with spacedawg, all my patients will agree with that (spacedawg trim makes killer medicated lotion)

I have a very lime reeking/tasting Chernobyl that I got as a freebie. She's crazy potent, and looks to be decent yielding. I have one in flowering now and I'll post some pics in a day or two. Very sativa dominant though, uplifting and empowering, conducive to having a good time. Never run Space Dawg, but if it's made with the Super Snowdawg clone then it will be likely to have a somewhat more indica nature. I've noticed that Sub's Space Queen seems to put out a lot of hybrids that resemble the cindy99 leaning SQ with some flavor/odor from the mother plant, I don't have that much experience with his strains personally, but from his Dairy Queen (UK Cheese x SQ) I definitely got two phenos that more closely resembled the father's genetics (one more c99 and one more Rom) than the mother, from which they seemed to inherit mainly a slight cheese taste.

They all look wonderful. Kane.....you have run both and it sounds like you like Space Dawg better than Chernobyl.

And what is this about a medicated lotion? What conditions are the patients using this lotion for? The idea sounds interesting. I really wish Texas would legalize.....you guys have so many wonderful products we can't even imagine around here. I made a THC infused e-liquid last month with trim from my last Delahaze grow and everyone down here flipped out like it was some revolutionary idea to use pot any way other than smoking it.

I was reading one of Sub's posts yesterday, and he said that he will scrap a strain if they couldn't find a keeper female running a random five pack seed test. I really appreciate the standard he sets for himself. From what y'all are saying, it sounds like you all had at least that good of an experience with his products......makes me get all excited to make an order.

I wish I had enough grow room to try em all. :)

After reading Kane's pheno hunt journal, I think it is Space Dawg for me.

One more question for you guys, I don't currently have the ability to increase the size of my flower area, but I was thinking about adding more light to increase production. My bloom area is a 2'x4'x5' tent and I have a 400w hps. Do you think I could fit 2 of them in cool tubes in there or a 600w without temps skyrocketing? Or should I be happy with what I've got. Right now, I'm able to keep light hour temps around 72 and dark temps in the mid 60s. Summer could me be a bit more trying if I add light.
