You whine about the perils of inflation
yet have not pointed out significant inflation for the last 4 years

Relax Chesus, it's coming - in fact many would say it is here but the government has managed the metrics in such a way as to hide it from view. The quickest way to discover that something is going on is to visit your grocery store once a month, you will begin to suspect something is going on. Sure, fuel and food are too volatile to use as a good measure of inflation but in reality they are the best measurment of purchasing power. Used to be shoes, but that got distorted by cheap overseas labor.

Food, Fuel, Gold, etc... Everything is going up in price...

That is the dollar losing value due to the inflationary practice of Quantitative Easing... If you havent noticed maybe you are in the 1% or something...

This is a dog chasing it's tail scenario of economic destruction...

The minimum wage goes up and the cost of all goods and services rise creating INFLATION.... Which causes the wages to automatically rise causing the cost of goods and services to rise causing further INFLATION...

And your best argument is that according to the government there is little to no inflation??? So you want the government to create more of it???

You people are fucking nuts.... If you are in your 10th year of a minimum wage job, maybe you are the problem, not the job...

food and fuel are not counted in inflation, numbnuts.

and fuel goes up because it is a finite good with inelastic demand, you simpleton.

If minimum wage were to have increased proportionally to aggregate productivity in the US since 1980, it would be almost $22 per hour. Instead, CEO pay rose 300 fold.

If minimum wage was 22 per hour how much do you think a hamburger would cost?
Maybe pennies more than it does, if any more than it would currently at all. Keep in mind that while the labor in every sector implicated in the burger production chain would have cumulative minor impacts on the final price, demand would also increase.

You can't have a consumer driven economy if consumers don't have any money with which to consume.

You are demonstrating the fact that you have no clue about what Quantitative Easing is about and how it affects monetary policy and the value of the dollar and in the same breath call me a simpleton...

The irony is delicious...

I dont think you ever have or will own a business in your life...

You simply do not understand the concept.

Pegging the minimum wage to 9 bucks would destroy jobs, particularly in poorer areas of the country...

A person with no job makes 0 dollars per hour.

You keep trying to punish the job creators in the country and then wonder why there are no jobs...

More irony...

You did not state a single fact in this argument. You used your opinion to premise another opinion and concluded with "more irony...".

You clearly have no response to logic.

I am sorry that the fact that a person with no job makes 0 dollars an hour escaped you. It is not an opinion...

You are either a troll or an idiot. I am betting on both.
