I thought the sea snake was most venomous?
"most venomous" is a very tough nut to crack. everybody measures it a different way, but the ringed sea snake and the inland tai-pan usually come up on top in potency and concentration of venom.

the Krait has the fastest strike, and a smooth almost gentle bite which results in a lot of people not even realizing they got bit till they start convulsing.

thats how the Krait racks up such high mortality rates despite a venom which is potent, but not a "Two Step Charlie".

It is extremely venomous but also quite shy. You have to really **** with one to get the bite.
I remember when Steve Irwin was still making TV, and he had that wonderful thick backcountry "Strine" while describing Snikes, esp the Westan Brine Snike <cough> Western Brown Snake.
The most venomous proved to be what he called a Fierce Snake, which Google informs me is the Inland Taipan.
There's an effective antivenin now, so deaths aren't common. cn
Fucking Steve Irwin. You just know all those snakes he fucked with are pissed, they tired so hard, and he just walke3d away, but a fucking venomless stingray takes down the champ! Fuck you know thats goitta be chapping their cloacae. Plus none of them but the sea snake even has a shot at taking the crown back. fucking bitch ass stingrays wont come up on land and face a REAL snake on even terms.

stingrays are pussies!

I'm strangely pleased with how this one has developed. Off topic, but possibly the least drama in a politics thread. lol

Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time with a blue truck. I would say these cops aren't trigger happy, but they should not have shot first and ask questions later. I would say that the shooting was more out of fear, any back fire or loud noises got the cops on edge. this guy they are looking for sounds like a bad ass dude. He has police and military experience. Peace Salt
Of course they were trigger happy. They were hunting for a male and shot two different females. The women weren't doing anything but delivering papers. The ability of these officers to do their job is questionable.

few weeks back a driver stopped at red light with dog in back of truck, another dog attacks this 1 in back of truck. police arrive and can't get dogs apart, so, they shoot 1 with shotgun and the other 5 times with handgun. mind you this is in the middle of the intersection. guess a glass of water was unattainable.
They had to kill the dogs in order to save the dogs.

Human? Really ....hunting what?....wolves will chase herd of elk for 30 miles through. Snow.
Surprisingly, humans can run many animals to exhaustion. The aborigines in Australia run kangaroos until they're too exhausted to run farther and kill them with hand held spears. Or a .30-06

I know some people who have had similar experiences.. But I have literally pulled apart 2x 120lb male pits... I've also pulled apart my dog (a 90b German Shepherd) and a 120lb pit rot, which was not fun, but was successfully completed. I know some circumstances might not allow the human to separate the animals, but I have not run into that; maybe I'm just stronger.

I actually also believe that if you treat them as if you have no fear, they respect you much more. It's an animal feeling that isn't made with words or sayings
I have broken up two - life or death fights once was malumte saint and the other was wolf collie - BIG animals. the other was malamute Saint and newfundland.

there is no stopping them with water, or shovels - the first took two strong men (me on the malamute saint tail) and the other on his dog's tail, and waiting until they broke for a moment.

the other stopped instantly when the saint (my dog of course) accidentaly bit me in the middle of the fight - it stopped post haste when he realized he had made the ultimate mistake.

I don't recall, but I do remember that it explained why we evolved away our fur. Our superior heat loss ability (skin, sweat, area to volume) allowed us to run big, strong animals into an exothermic coffin corner. cn

i don't buy it - that would mean that women would not have that as an advantage and still be furry (all over I mean)

Ok, had the asian women been armed? Had they been in a stand your ground state? the police didn't ID themselves, the police shot first, the asians were completely surprisesd and innocent of anything, would the asians have been within their rights to return fire?
