BIG problems with HTG Supply

I worked at ups b4 and i know what u mean. I once got a 6"x6" box that full of bolts(weighted like 50lb) all four broke when I slam them on the ground, but I loaded right over it. :-)
I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not but I'm not letting my packaging go through you! It just sounds irresponsible on your part and you owe me some smokes homes....

i dont think u guys should be raggin on him for letting people know about THE SHITTY htg service he got... i know its true becuz mine looks exactly the same the paint is chiped and its rusted... lights work great... but shitty looks and not WORTH 200$ maybe they are good 98% of the time but not to me

ok ok I never really slam them but they did fall two feet to the ground and broke. It was poor packaging. My buddy tried to take ur lights thais y they look like that. It wouldent fit in his pants thou. LOL. Sorry about that.

I ordered from HTG 3 weeks ago. For the most part everything looked great. The one thing that got me wondering though, was the reflector. In the directions it said to be sure to "remove the plastic protecting the reflective surface"... guess what wasn't there? The protective plastic. Oh, and guess what was scratched? The reflective surface. It wasn't too bad so I didn't make a fuss about it but it did make me uneasy.

Seeing that HTG has a huge share of the internet market, and a fairly good reputation, I'm sure they'd go out of their way to fix any problems (though your fix looked less than correct).

If I was in your shoes, I'd probably do the same thing. Either demand correction at their cost or keep it all. Either way its hard to call yourself screwed.

PS - Stop hating when people try and warn you about bad service. remember these people are trying to do YOU a favor... most of the time.

if you look at everyones complaints its mostly about damages that come from the shippers so it must be the shipping they use, if you dont like the shipping pay extra for better shipping

It is sad that you have to pay extra to not get your stuff damaged. Shouldn't that be expected?

i ordered a hps setup, 400w, like a year ago, it was in great shape and brand new, maybe there service is goin down hill? sorry to here bout yalls stuff tho, best ofluck

rust, stripped screws and missing protective plastic are NOT shipping issues. :peace:

Exactly, my packaging was neatly tucked in with extra protection... Something was fishy when after only 5 hrs of usage, the bulb started to flicker. The ballast would give this weak pulse whenever i plugged it back in...

i just recently bought a 600w light and digital ballast & a aircooled hood from them it was new i was happy so far no problems guess i was lucky or something

i just got my light from HTG and it was in mint condition.. not a scratch.. dent.. ding.. nothing... perfect condition..

There are 17,000 happy customers on ebay, yes thats seventeen thousand happy customers :idea:,,i'd say thats the best proven track record of any lighting shop,this isnt even counting the sales from their web site,can anybody post a proven track record that high from any other supplier ? No way !

The guys who didnt get good service & equipment are in the extreme minority,not majority.

99% of these i hate htg threads make me suspicious,especially the guys who push hydro gear from other suppliers,its called schill posting.

I got my big CFL's, my MH and my HPS lights from HTG. They were out of the el cheapo HPS bulbs I paid for so they upgraded me to the the Hortilux bulbs free of charge. I've always got new stuff and I don't believe for a split second they would sell used stuff as new. My experience with them has been great and they continue to be one of my favorite suppliers.

HTG has a shitty rep? This is a first for me. I've spent over 1200 with them so far and all they do is keep giving me great service. They answer all email questions within a day. All their gear has come in tip top shape and they give me free lighters. Prolly the only thing I don't like about them is sticking their stickers on gear, but oh well. I call BS here.

LOL, that sort of pisses me off too. I wouldn't mind if they were small ones but they put huge ones on everything. I try to scrape it off but it's a pia.
