Got the three C99's into solo cups in a base mix... they were in paper towels, and just barely have tap roots coming out. Hoping I didn't make the soil mix too moist... decided to leave off the dome until the soil looks a little dryer. Probably add the dome later tonight just to be safe.

One bag seed cracked but the rest didn't, so they're still in paper towel for now.

Going to make a little more mix and transplant the raspberry coughs and the sweet tooth soon... actually, I might have enough handy to atleast do the sweet tooth now. Then I'll hold off on the other three a little longer...

Edit: There... sweet tooth is in a new container that I poked fulla holes to use as a planter. Not sure on size, but I'd estimate .75-1 gal maybe. I'm going to let it run it's course in that container and see what happens.

Note to self: Jackberry hung to dry on 2/5... keeping the humidity between 45-55% consistently with a humidifier... hoping to keep it moving nice and slow.

The first time I dried with higher humidity, I was around 50% for the bulk of the dry. Maybe more like 50-60%, but I have been iffy about pushing it toward 60 this time, just to be safe... I have plants still flowering in the other closet in the same room, and I have a fan just inside the closet to keep air circulating, so there is some humidity bleed over. In order to keep my other plants at a comfortable 40'ish percent, I'm not gonna push the drying closet too high. Also just safer when it comes to mold and such. I really don't foresee any issue with that though, never had a problem drying in there before.

Anyway, I'm figuring a slightly shorter time this time because I'm keeping the RH just a smidge lower. It took a solid 12 days last time. I'm gonna hazard a guesstimate around 9-10 days til they're ready for jars... but I will check every day, of course. I have to keep refilling the humidifier anyway, as we've been below freezing for a while and there isn't much humidity in the air. If I didn't humidify those things would probably be dry in three days max.

Right now they're all flopped up on themselves, as I hung them upside down. I was planning to try to hang right side up but it seemed like more work. I might still be able to figure a way to do that with the rest of them. We'll see. I don't like how the fan leaves fold around the buds... but some say that will help with the slow dry... but when hung right side up it encourages spreading so that none of the colas can touch... six in one hand, half dozen in the other... I've got them sort of split over a pole, so they're a little spread from that. Still, I'd like to get more spread out of it... with the next ones I might try right side up and tie them off to the pole like I'm drawing and quartering. Might be hard to set up for that, though. Hanging for drying can be a real bitch sometimes... I should get one of those old clothes racks with the bars, I bet that would be easy to work with...

Some flash shots of the two drying jackberries. Those who are itching for weight figures, feel free to make a guessing game outta this, haha.

Here's an artsy shot:

Ohhh, by the way, when I went to check out my soil and add some water I found some nice fuzzy white growth on the surface, so there is definitely some livelihood developing.

Turn it every once in a while too. I turn and water 1 a week for 4 weeks :joint:
Ans start to study up on Teaming With Microbes and AACTs. I use them 3 out of every 4 waterings with the soil mix.
In theory, it's constantly adding life to the soil and won't burn unless you mix the AACT too concentrated.

Yeah, I turned it a little when I found the white stuff growing on the surface. I'll do it once a week very thoroughly. I just turned it a little because I added water and didn't want it to sit on the surface. I think they're wet enough now to sit for a bit though. I've got each bin covered with carboard, best I could do for darkness. It seems to work pretty well, but it's not 100% moisture tight so I'm keeping an eye on moisture levels.

Stuff's not even beginning to crisp yet... going to cut down to 45% RH and try to stay near there, just to speed things a little, as i am impatient, haha. I want to see how that freezer cure works.

I bought a hard copy of the book, but haven't sat down with it since it came because I've been thoroughly intoxicated all week on fine cannabis oil. LoL. This is why I can't have nice things. ;) LOL. I'm going to learn to make my own oil, no doubt about it. I figure it's a cheaper investment across the board than a bubble bag system with a machine to mix it for me, lol. Not cheaper than just the bubble bags alone, granted... but I'm worried about doing it well by hand. If any of you guys got much experience with doing bubble hash with a hand drill to mix, let me know. I'm considering it. But if I went with butane, I could dry-sift for kief before blasting with oil and get some hash out of the deal still.

Butane's just more dangerous and sketchy looking, and makes me wish I had my own property so I didn't have to worry bout the lawn dude showing up while I'm blasting oil or whatever. Which makes me want to get some bubble bags and learn how to do it well without a machine. I guess I could practice on the trim, and if I get good results, do some buds. I am considering converting a lot of what I grow to concentrates, just because I find them a lot more pleasant to consume. But with the bubble bags I'll only get so much full melt... with butane it all comes out as oil... which makes me want to do oil, lol. :headspin:

I fed them with a nice heavy bloom mix and top-fed about half a cup of worm castings on top of each one for an N boost. I want these Kolossus plants to give it all they can in the last couple weeks and they are yellowing out hard, so I'm hoping this will help. Really I'm sure all of them could use it, and that's why I opted to just spread it around. The Herijuana still looks ripe for the picking but I'm sure it's not overripe yet. I'll pull her out at next feeding and check the trich colors again, see how the new growth development looks. She may not have "needed" more food, but call it a pity meal, a big last supper, lol.

The third Jackberry is so weird... I feel like she got stunted. Obviously less trichomes, visible to the naked eye, compared to the other two. She's VERY purple, vibrantly so. At first this was the plant I was showing off for the purple color, and now I see her as gimped, heh. I am sure the smoke will still be decent. She didn't herm or anything... just slower development than the others, and less trichomes. I keep hoping she'll have a last minute growth spurt and pack on some frost, lol. I'll probably take her down with the Herijuana, whenever I decide she's ready.

I've got battle music from Final Fantasy 3 playing in a loop behind me as I type this.

Seedlings are pushing up and out... roots were kind of exposed, so I covered what was sticking out and re-misted them all. They look lively at least. I've got the humidity dome in play so they should be okay one way or another, once they figure which way is up. The transplanted sweet tooth is in transplant-recovery in side the dome with everything else, the solo cupped rasp. coughs enjoying the greenhouse effect as well.

I'll take a shot or two of the mother chamber when I get the seedlings above ground...

Checked the bag seed again and still one is way ahead of the pack, so I grabbed that one and three others that looked like they were cracking and stuck 'em in solo cups filled with the base mix... hoping the other four will crack any time, have their solo cups ready to go. Can't wait to get these plants dry... hoping for a nice turn around where I can wait one week to harvest the next two and these ones might be ready to come down at that point as well. I'm actually looking forward to trimming... I want to see what each of those yields...

Nice bro, looks great. Blue Dream is the shit... when I was out in CO visiting my dispensary buddies (one is a budtender, the other a grower for the same dispensary) I got to try a lot of the absolute best stuff they had, and blue dream was one of the holy grails. That shit was really nice. Got me super high. Honestly I was so high off the buds they have in those dispensaries I couldn't tell you what I smoked when... it all blurred together on me. I know I got to try Blue Dream, Shaman, Rocky Mountain High, and a handful of others... one was something about a goat... maybe... LOL

[Edit: Looked it up, Golden Goat! That shit was amazing.]

Anyway Blue Dream was one of the ones I actually made a point to remember so I know it was super awesome. ;)

--

I ran out of my oils so no more dabs... last night I started snagging popcorn buds off the drying plants to try... they still smoke like shit and taste pretty terrible; definitely not dry enough. But then this morning I remembered ye olde vaporizer, and damn, the buds are about the same dryness but the taste is amazing in the vape. Jackberry does not disappoint... a distinctly berry taste and smell, and it's strong. Really nice.

It gives me a really nice, euphoric, floating high. I can't exactly put my finger on it. Sort of a nice noticeable head-cloud effect without any of that "too much cloud makes me dizzy" effect. It's just a really nice high. I was toasted last night after bong rips... they tasted bad, but I was all done... playin the Walking Dead video game... shit had me up til 1 am.

Then this moring I remembered the vaporizer, like I said, haha. Now I'm getting best of both worlds... tastes great and it's getting me up there. Honestly I am enjoying the high from this a lot more than I was enjoying the oils I had just prior... call it a tolerance effect perhaps, but I'm still suspect that smells/flavors in weed are a major contributor to what high we get...

Anyhow. Stuff's still drying... couple days more I'm guessing. So far right on schedule. Should get a 10 day dry at least.

Hahaha... I am really just trying to get through til harvest, but got a little oil in the mail from a friend out west to hold me over, haha. It's gone now... hence I'm snarfing buds off the drying plants, lol.

Gonna try to keep off it as much as possible, maybe eat some mushroom chocolate, lol. I just realized it's been FIVE days, I was counting from the 2nd for some reason, but it was the 5th I started, haha. So yeah maybe I am zombied, lol

Hey guys, numbers are in for the first plant. I was hoping for more, but I guess it's an alright pull.

On the upside, it is quality bud, and beautiful. Still, thought there would be more. On to number two.

Here's some pics and numbers:

So first pic, 19.54g of medium and large buds. Second pic is another 7.05g. Hopefully not too much of that is stem. :) And third pic is the small buds that were solid enough to keep out of the trim pile with another 4.82g of looser stuff.

First Jackberry Plant Total is therefore: 31.41g... not too impressive if it represents 1/7th of total yield... that would put me at 220g's total, which would be pretty unimpressive for the amount of wattage involved! However, I'm still feeling rather optimistic overall because three of the plants seem significantly larger.

I cut the second jackberry... there are more pics but I'm too lazy to do get 'em up... maybe later tonight, or tomorrow. Right now it is time to relax, eat ice cream, and watch more simpsons, haha.

The second jackberry isn't quite as dense in crystal coverage but the smell is amazing... really strong blueberry flavors with nice diesel undertones. They both have had me high as shit, as I have of course been partaking as I trim, haha. I just packed the vaporizer with what's left when I loosely move the trim pile and scrape together the trichomes and leaf bits left there, haha. I'm almost too high to communicate.

Anyway--the second plant yielded 30.50g's... I will post some pics at some point.
