10 days in

Herb, man. That's cool. Cool to hear something like that about a veteran. Good-stuff! My girls are off cns and onto advanced sensi-grow. Also put half-shot of sensi-cal and some H2o2. She's pretty happy and bushing out quickly. This is about 3 weeks in and already she's spiking her 5th set of leaves and isn't even 5" high yet. love it. Love this. If I could do a ratio of fun to grow: fun to smoke it would be like 6:1 for growing. :)

what looks like a cal/mag problem, may just have been solved. i see it on the 1st and 2nd set of leaves, but it began days before my first real cal/mag bath. What's the process on that? Do I just leave the leaves with the evidence on(instinct says leave them) or remove them. I don't see cal/mag deficiency being spreadable from what i've looked up, but what about your thoughts? Will upload a photo or two and let ya see where I'm at.

Peace out brownie scouts!

Sounds good man have to agree I keep forgetting to burn myself. Due to my pm prob I've taken to the idea of sacrificial leaves and am leaning on keeping them. I think the plant decides repair or replace pretty well. It'll use up what it can and it'll drop. You've then got a weak link for parasite watch.

are you running a DWC, if you are you need a ppm meter since you will need to be careful to push your plants in the next comming weeks! Makr the investment now if your trying to get the max out of your plants, nutes and energy!

I purchased a ppm meter - recently. It was 15 bucks, but it seems to work well. Right now im at a reading of 502 and two days ago was at 510. So my girls are consuming. The roots are beginning to branch out and look great. I'm going to be changing the rez weekly.one of that "add-to" method. Is it using more nute? yes, but I have been adapting them slowly to the nute change. everything is at 40-50%...First 5 point leaves are coming out and im about ready to up the nute again. Possibly to 75%...or maybe keep it at 50% for another week. I'll post pictures shortly and y'all can give me your feed-back.

I'm also onto day 4 of Delicious Caramello. Her first true leaves just sprung out and she's being grown in a soil mix inside of a 2G jug. Small jug because i want her done the same time as White Castle who got the 3 week head start. Will it be so? I don't know. Pictures soon! Feed-back now! :P

"seedlings and clones about 400-600ppm

early veg 600-800

Late veg / full flowering 1000-2000 (be damn careful here! hehe)

PPM is a rotten terrible way to measure nute strenth, there are 3 diiferent conversion factors out there to convert EC into PPM. .5 .64 and .7 this is bad news to be honest. I use .5 to give me the highest PPM reading so I mix lower strength in theory anyway.

yeah, man. I'm aware of how much they cost and I intend to buy one. Im not doing the whole grow like this, but I am asking if everything looks fine so far...There's been no sign of stunting. That's 10 days from seed, so clearly my numbers arent too bad and hasn't did any harm. I just needed to make a bit of money before I went out and purchased the meters.
You can use the drop kits, just keep it in the light orange range. Drop kits are more reliable/accurate than ph meters but just not precise.

PPM is just fine to measure nute strenght, my 20 dollar ppm meter guided me all the way to 9 zips off one DWC plant, aint nothin rotten about that meatball. Nice try though ;)

What are you using to combat the PM?

i think im gonna make a dwc rig for two plants when my soil runs out. skipping over coco.

are the plants faster to mature in hydro? what the difference in smoke between soil and hydro?

In DWC the plants grow probably twice as fast as dirt, the buds, bud leaves and even parts of the fan leaves end up with way more tricombs on them. Tricomb production Is so high infact that the leaves on the buds hardly have to be trimmed back, not off. The one downside to DWC is that the buds tend to be on the fluffy side, not as dense as dirt buds are, but theres so many more of them and they are way stickier ;) youll be able to press them against the wall and theyll stick to it. No shit. :):):)

sweet! can i run a dwc with a pump and two airstones?

do i also need a pump to circulate the solution, or is that unnecessary?

how about taste/harshness in soil vs hydro?

You have no idea what you are talking about.
Stop it.

I feel 1000-2000 is a bit high? I was under the assumption I wanted 800 for late flower, 600 veg and while its going from seedy to veggy im content with 500. Thoughts anyone?

Dude go with those numbers and see how your plants react. Just dont ever take Bmeats advice. EVER...Your plants will thank you for it.

word? thanks navy. I like the results im having with the 500ppm at 50% nute. very satisfied. When she's close to being switched to flower, ill probably give it 2 weeks of full nute. Hopefully get it around 600-650 and then BAM! sensi-bloom at 50% first 2 weeks and 100% for 3 and flush with good ol nute free water. :)

Sounds like a plan. Make a journal of your grow for reference when you start your next grow.

2000 is way to high. I hit 1500 once but i think the sweet spot for me was 950-1150. 150 of that being tap water :):):)
