..well i upped the babies food to about 1.0 ec about 700 ppm and im getting some taco leaf!!!!!!(which i changed on 2/6/13) and i believe some necrosis...... (One in the third pic got hit the worst, liberty haze #2) im running house and garden aqua flakes, cali magic cal mag, and aqua shield and they are looking alright up until this last nute change. Drained about 20 gals out of the rez and replaced with some r/o which brought me back down to about 510 ppm and adjusted ph back to 5.8. I think i caught it soon enough and hopefully they recover. there about 26 days old from seed,Let me know what u think any critisism welcome thanks....

also need my co2 gen to come already cause they really need it consdering the room is kinda sealed now.

As for updates should be getting the hydrogen pro on the 12th and cranking out 1500ppm should perk them up real quick. also running some new electricals, running 30 amps to the room should be enough to run the setup and incorporate the 12,000 btu portable ac, which dropped temps until it blew the breaker, should be able to disconnect the carbon filter i have setup to pull the heat when room gets to hot, and seal things up nicely. Or would the ac just be pulling my co2 out? havnt really grasped the concept of sealed. And do i have to hook a carbon filter up to the exhaust on the ac? Maby just have a carbon filter in the room the ac is being exhausted into....

Let me know what u think any critisism welcome thanks....

Portable AC also exhausts air from the room, but only when the compressor is running (when it is actually cooling) so how much it extracts air is dependent on temps / heat load from lamps. One of the drawbacks of portables. I'd put a carbon filter to its exhaust. If you're not venting outside, you need to consider the heat load in the room you exhaust to. It's not just the heat from your grow room, but also the electricity your ac draws is converted to heat and exhausted. Portables use roughly 1kW to cool 2kW. 12,000btu is around 3500W. What's your lamp wattage?

Sorry, nothing about your plants, I'm not experienced enough to give growing advice.

Also I should warn you that many portables are prone to wetting their beds so putting something under it would be a good precaution to protect your flooring if something goes wrong. Also the air it blows can be very cold, 5-7C typically so it's best not directed straight toward your plants.

When enriching CO2 levels, and in any case actually, a split type AC would be far preferable (no air exchange, much better coefficient) but arranging the installation might prove difficult.

id flush em with just water for a day or two no nutes at all and then start back up again at were you left off before the burn i have a portable ac in my room i just cut out a square for it in the wall and it exausts to another toom with a lil filter on the exhaust. As far as your co2 goes it will pull it out unless you rig it so it cuts out when the co2 is on or install it higher up as co2 is heavy and falls so have your line that empties your co2 at the top of the room so it drifts down onto the plants . Ive an airline that is about three feet from the top of the plants and i just put holes throughout the circumference that the line runs so it just kinda rolls out and drifts down onto them then about 5 min later the fan kicks in again so i use airline rather than a fan to distribute my c02 if the airconditioner was pulling air from above the line where the c02 drops down because of the weight of co2 youjust may get away with it.....damn now im thinking on moving my ac lol only thing is i think you would need a fan with the blades moving backwards tol push the cold air down towards the plants...im right where you are with the babies mine may be a week older fromseed also i find seedlings are alot more fussy than the clones when it comes to nutrients. Thats just my thoughts on it and what i would try in your case

thanks for the info

-as for the room im exhausting the ac into, it just used as storage and has a window that is open at all times. as for lights Im running dual magnum xxxls 8's with ggl digi dimmable 1k's, dimmed to 60% right now and are being air cooled with a can fan rs8ho 768 cfm. So just going to use the ac to cool the room and dehumidify.

there are fins on the ac i have them pointed up as to not blow air on the plants. yeah i have looked into the mini split ac's but kinda working with what i got right now. My co2 gen pumps about 45cfh on high. even with the air exchange from the ac wouldnt it be able to keep up? Whithout the ac the room stays under 80 degrees, 79 to be exact. when i run co2 was gonna crank it to 83 degrees so ac wouldnt even kick on till the room hit about 86 degrees.

Up it again to 1000, they are lime green/yellow.
i did that was close around 900ppm and they started to show signs of overfert so i backed it down and they are looking better. might raise it back up as soon as i get the co2 gen up and running.

as for the lime green yellow thats from the lights above i think, they are a pretty nice shade of green i think

I basically emptied about 25 gallons from the 55 gal rez and replaced with fresh r/o water. starting ppm was like 700 - 900+ ppm ec x 700, after dropped it to about 530ppm. they look alot better. I was thinking of running straight r/o for a couple of days but do not have another rez and did not want to waste the 55 gal i just mixed. dropping the ppm should fix the problem right? Or is the correct way to just dump and start over?

I will be running the water cooled co2 gen, burns propane so no hoses for me. Im thinking if i have it on set to high, it should produce enough co2 to keep up with my room. The ac is only going to be used as a safe guard for high temps wont be running constantly. Im just going to set it to 85 degrees aand let it do its thing, i wish i could hook it up to my sentinel but the ac is digital and the sentinel will not be able to turn it on.

I think i may be over watering them. changed there feeding schedule, less watering and going to see if that fixes my problem. Theres also water left in the bottom of the buckets after feedings also. think in need to elevate them to drain the water better.

also upped there nutes to 660ppm ecx700
