I fill the same its probable the same factor but in china its really weird i read a article one time that talked about bootleg stuff and how much of it they have selling on the streets over there its crazy. it said that if a company say cidly was not working at night work weekends they would rent there factory out to people so they could pump out a crap ton of well crap lol...
But really I was thinking of jumping on this light but don't know yet. What is the diffrence in flowering led's and veg led color is there one that is better if i order this one from china they will build it like I want could just buy one with a mix of light and call it good?
I read a few books on China and here's a really great read of an
An Insider's Account of the China Production Game. It's a fast read
and a real eye opener of how it really works. A real page turner..I couldn't put it down. The author is an American who works for HUGE companies here in the USA. He takes you right into the factories and the loony conversations that he has to endure just so not to offend them even tho they are lying right to his face and not honoring the contract by changing things during production. It's all great when trying to get your $ business but after that things change and it's a constant battle to keep them honest when producing your product.. The trade show shenanigans are like an espionage show. It's cut throat !
I also got the feeling that the author was holding back and had more to say about what
goes on but what he said was more than enough.
You really have to do your homework when dealing with china and we aren't bigshots so it's even harder for us individuals to find a legit company
among the not so honest ones.
Seriously..read it ..you will be glad you did . Put it this way..I no longer buy any soap ..toothpaste or any bathroom stuff or anything that goes on my skin or in my body.

Anyway...I know that plants use red/blue more than the other wavelenghts but I'm not one of those that want just red/blue. I don't believe in just using red/blue. Just because us arrogant humans think this and that doesn't mean that the other wavelengths don't play some important role just because we don't know or haven't discovered it yet. Plants know better than us and I want a wider spectrum than red/blue.
Regarding cidly.. he said they don't sell in the USA after several emails of me asking about the wavelengths and drivers . He
said he would let me know when they are for sale in the USA. I was like WTF ..so which is it you do or you don't ?
I replied back that he should have told me that from the start . Remember..I Originally picked the Phantom with 250watts and he said no 250watts only 300watts so I said yes . So during this time I'm designing my panel for the phantom when asking questions. Anyway..I told him I would let everyone know in the USA forums that cidly no longer sells in the USA .
The latest email after my response (to above) said they do sell in the USA (In big red letters..I guess my reply got his attention) but to only one person who cidly has a contract with not to sell phantom to anyone else or individuals.
During my first emails I asked what were the newest models ..apollo ..phantom or the ZA. He said the apollos were the old model and the UFO
is new and the ZA and the phantom are new.
So expect the ZA to also be sold by one person or company like the phantom is now with higher prices ...maybe not but that's the way it seems.Or maybe the ZA they will sell. As for the phantom I was told no. Usually chinese companies make deals with multiple people but they change the shell and some minor details so they can sell more and get more contracts or sell directly..how it will play out only time will tell.
Lots of chinese companies do this ..selling to multiple people and all they change is the shell and other minor stuff but the guts are the same. That's
how they keep these contracts and not upset the people who buy these contracts . It's done in the electronics world very often.
Anyway..He said I can still buy the apollo if I want. Now why would I want the old model that he himself admitted to.
So Now that cidly has became popular cidly sells out it's customers (who made them popular by taking a chance and buying direct from china even
with all the fake crap out there) on the internet and makes a deal which will cost you more in the end. You know it's going to be way marked up. Most likely if it fails or breaks you still have to send it back to china. Do you really think there will be a repair center here in the USA..I doubt it.
Listen..I don't care who they have contracts with because they are in business to make money. That's fine and good but don't tell me one thing and let me believe I'm buying a certain model then say and change your story at the last minute. It's annoying as it is having to email back and forth with such a huge difference in time zones and have to talk specs .
He should have told me from the get go that I couldn't buy a phantom. I originally asked for phantom 250 watt but he said only 300 watts available and another higher watt which I forget at the moment.
Anyway..Lastnight's email the cidly guy basically said he was sorry for any misunderstanding and didn't mean to mislead me after I told him to go back and read his own emails to me after I sent him his own quotes .
Now.....
I'm going to sit back and watch all the forums get flooded and spammed and shilled for
( and they will very soon because cidly has finally updated their webpage ) with Phantom and ZA posts when they are released to whoever it is in the USA. Who likely knows all about how popular LED's are in the grow and aquarium world.
There are people with deep pockets who scour the internet to see what's the hottest thing and then corner the market ..basically price fixing by squeezing out other's and screwing us the customers ...because now you can no longer buy the new and latest product when it was you the customer who made cidly who they are by buying their apollo from china at a huge risk.
If I was cidly I would sell to everyone and anyone to cover my cost with some profit then let the consumers choose to buy from who they want to. This creates competition and lower prices for us.
Remember..according to cidly no individuals can buy the new models because they have a contract with someone from the USA . So when the first
reviews and spamming and shilling start to show up on the forums take them with a grain of salt.
Hey...maybe the guy is lying to me about not selling to individuals or misinformed himself ..I don't know. I can only tell you what was told to me or maybe my cidly guy was just a jerk...time will tell.
PS: I'm back to my original plan and going with RapidLED.com and build my own panel (waiting for the WW's to be back in stock) with the solderless LED's made by CREE..It's very simple to do. Only thing I have to make is a case to put it in. I was trying to avoid this step by going with cidly but that's done and over with .
At least I'll know exactly what I'm getting plus I can repair it myself and a metal case really isn't hard to do.
