Should I add more light to newly planted seed?

Right now im only running 200w per seed that I planted yesterday. Would it be better to have more light? maybe add another 100-200watts per?

More light never hurts but a seedling doesn't need much. I start my seeds under a 250w then move them under the 400w at about 1 week once they start growing side branches to help the internode length stay short.

I think 200w is more then enough. Instead of adding more light, just make sure that the lights are close enough to the plant. Are you using CFL's?

yes im using clf's, i have 100w bulbs. those are the actual watts i believe lol darn box gives me two numbers lol first number is 100 and the second says 30w, it only uses that amount of energy so they are more effecient, i take it lol

lol 200 watts can support 3 plants easy for your entire grow start to finish, seedling can sprout with less than 26 watts NO PROBLEM)

then its only using 30 watts brother, the smallest number is the amount you use

the second number is the actual watts, the 100w would just mean its eual to a 100w incandescant bulb as far as visible light is concerned. 1 per plant will be fine for just a freshly sprouted seedling, but id add a second bulb soon, and keep adding them as you grow

haha no probs dude, just get ur light things checked. i grew 2 plants start to finish with 136 watts got just under 2ozs dry - happy growing, dont let em' tell you , you cant!

sounds right 8x30= 240watts so thats 120 per plant. seems good to me

yea dude more than enough, that would be somewhere around 240 watts and haha yea dude i know, but theres always a fine print to everything haha

well i thought i had 800watts.. im kinda disappointed now. i should of just bought a HID light for that kind of money i spent.... well thanks for the help like always man!

hahaha thats alot of watts man, and yea ive never tried with anything else just cfls, i heard HPS are great to but cause lots of heat. cfls will be great for you and very cost effecient, i ran my box for almost 4 months, paid less than 3 dollars a month

haha yeah, was trying to grow monsters for my first grow xD lol well thats good! less then 3 dollars! I think i can live with that lol im growing the ak48 stain, i heard it gives a pretty good yeild anyways, so hopefully ill get at least 2oz's like you!

haha best of luck dude! and it seems to me, after the whole curing process and everything.. ill probably be left with an oz but it will be premium smoking bud which is awesome, i hope to do alot better this time around too!! cheers
