Who doesn't tip?

Tip them, because life can deal anyone a shit hand that causes them to end up in the food service business and you could be the next pizza guy delivering to my door or the waiter/waitress serving my food,Im pretty sure you would want people to tip you if youre pay was dependant on it, I at least take that much into consideration.
And so long as they provide service that demonstrates they want to be tipped I'm MORE than happy to tip them! The second the level of service decreases in a measurable way so does their chances of a great tip.

20% is the new 15%. i usually aim for 25%, even on mediocre service. i can't really recall a time i've had bad service.

Back in the day when I.T. was booming, my little group of drunken co-conspirators and I would go to sports bars, 10-12 of us, ask for our own waitress... We'd all throw in 100 at the beginning, and explain "that pile is your tip, if you suck, it'll be used to pay for drinks to help us forget shitty service." Waitresses would normally make 90% of it... When they saw the pile shrink, they understood we meant lots of money (1000+) for lots of service. All above the board, we were mostly married and didn't shit where we ate. They did have to deal with a bunch of tech. gurus getting absolutely piss drunk and closing out the place on a Tuesday night... We called it giving back for making lots of money to play with computers.

I usually leave something, but if the service was poor I'll leave less, if was above average I'll leave more. It's not anyone's fault but the employer if the employees aren't getting paid enough to support themselves, and if they're not, they have the choice to find a different job that does

I always tip.I worked in a restaurant all through school.I bused tables for a bit and the waitress's always stiffed my.Always.They'd get 200 plus a night in tips.I'd be lucky to get a 7.00 12 pack outta a whole night.And no,I didn't suck or be a slacker,lol

I know a girl that leaves "life tips" on the napkins for the waiters. I asked if she frequented the same places and she said yes. I just smirked and nodded knowing full well she's had balls wiped on her hamburger buns and other gross things done to her food for that type of behavior. She thinks it's funny, it's really quite pathetic.
It's still funny if she has the good grace to return to the place, and unknowingly have her "specials"...
Life tips...you couldn't make this stuff up. :)

i had much better luck than you did with getting tips from the wait staff when i bussed.

i miss bussing tables, especially on a busy night. before you even know it, the shift is over. and if you ever got a short break in the action, it was time to go get high!

thats why where i work gratuity is already added.. tipping is good, actually makes you try for youre money. gotta be nice and all, cant be a dick.. cant be tired, gotta be on point. i know i wouldnt do what i do for my base pay... assholes like this dude should just stick to mcdonalds if your too cheap to pay a little extra when the person serving you your food is busting their ass to make sure you get the right shit.

our bussers stay high lol.. but they deserve it.. bussers are like the backbone of the restaurant. people can onlyt come in as fast as those tables get flipped

I always tip, UNLESS I can see the service has been included. A lot of restaurants charge for service which can be easily overlooked. If one friend pays then the other will sort the tip. It's never a big deal as my friends would never split hairs over a bill. Most of the time the guys split it between them.

I think workers should be tipped (unless included) as I can imagine its pretty hard work serving people.

No, that's good. I've tipped the AA man (car) when he's come to rescue me and I always offer the workman a nice cup of rosy lee (tea) if working in my home.

We dont go out to dinner much anymore.. but on the rare occasions... birthday anniversary.. etc
I will tip on the condition that the service is good.
I have a test usually I order a lemonade and it is usually gone within 10 mins of sitting down.. if the waitress does not refill when taking the actual order or delivering of order the tip may get lowered...
I appreciate if they are short staffed.. they explain this to us ahead of time.. I worked in a kitchen I know 1-2 people out means another 10-30 mins waiting for dinner..

tip to the waiting staff..

we go to your location for YOU to wait on us.. be pleasant and act like you want to be at work..
you want the tip? WORK for one.. dont show up at my table expecting one..
I worked hard for my money.. I expect you to be pleasant about food I paid MORE for..
Know your 15$ steak is $4.00 lb your 8$ beer is.... $8.00 for a 6 pack at the grocery store... and that is a 3 minute walk away..
Your dining establishment is nothing without good service.. I will give a location 2 chances then no longer eat there..

1st thing underlined.. where i work youd get fired for that, sometimes even less..
2nd thing i underlined... basically relates to 1st thing, you go out for service right? if you didnt want to be catered to you would of ate at home. we have signs all over our place around the kitchen area and dish pit that say like service is key and customers are king and stuff.

i always tip at least 20%, but am i the only one who realized that this dude say's he gives god 10% and he is a pastor? Haha good job buddy, maybe you should give god 100% ;)
10% given to god is standard procedure in the religous community........but with that being said i'm sure the church the right reverand is associated with is far better off money wise than his server was
this guy was a douche amen!

I tip a minimum of 20% on most every service related purchase. Unless the service was bad. And depending on the severity of service, they could potentially get nothing.

But in general, wait staff see me coming from a mile away. Im not picky, patient and friendly. And to top it off, I tip very well.

Sometimes I tip so much simply to show off how much money I have.
