First grow... trial run,,,,, couple of questions, and advice

okay sooo iv been growing this ONE plant.. yes ONE ... because i wanna get familiar with growing and get exp since i will be growing when i move ...


i have this SMALL SMALL box ... about the size of a computer tower ( mid sized tower ) and i planted ONE seed ... cuz i found it in a dego bag i purchesed ... its ( i think ) big enough for one plant

im not exactly going for the bud ... as i kknow there isnt enough room but just exp ...

i have a couple of questions ...
1. why cant i use tap water, will it kill it , slow it down .. ? what
( iv been useing dechlroified water by leaving the water out for more then a day .. )

2. is one normal ( light effiecnt ) bulb enough for ONE plant .. which is RIGHT on top of it ..

can someone give me ANY ADVICE .. on ANYTHING ... i want this grow to go succuss fully .. not as in get bud ... but as in fully grow a plant ( regardless if its a male or female )

ill post a scetch of this box and how its planted

and yes theres air flow ... ( ull see in the pic i post )

Im also new to this but I was under the impression that you cant use tap water during germination as it will kill them, however, once it comes out of the dirt you're ok to use tap water, just what I thought.

yea i heard that the chlorine in the tap water does somthing ..

but im pretty sure it either slows it down from growing ... or damges it abit ..
but i dont think it KILLS it ... but im not sure

anyone ?

ok, make sure you are germinating the seed, paper towel method is not recomended, but other methods are out there. As for the tap water, I use distilled water, just fill a sterile bucket up with tap water and let it sit for 24 - 35 hours to let all chlorine and what not is in it evaporate. you can try using your light but i would try to get the highest watt light bulb for your light as possible but i would give it a try. good luck!

i used the paper towl method and ki used tap water and my babies seem to be doin just fine. im almost 10 days in. but letting the water sit out is a great idea to let everything evaporate.

i used paper towel and all ... because when i used to be small i used to take beans .. and grow em the same way ..
so i was a pro at that =] ...
yes u can grow beans from the beans u get in the store ( dry not cannned )


okay thanx...

so one light bulb isnt enough at alll ? ...

im not worried about the veg .. im owrred about flowering ...
im scred the light source might limite its flowering ...

wah u think i should get ... ? like a bulb .. i want some cheap but can do good for my one plant

umm it was really fast ... it took about a day for it to break out
then the next day .. it was about a inch of white root ... so i planted it ( root down )


and now i see the SMALLED SMALLED leaves just openning .. thier REALLY REALLY small tho cuz i planted it about a day and half ago

i would recommend two the highest watt cfl you can find at least for one plant one daylight one warm
you're not gonna get a decent yield from that kind of limited light the more light the better yield
read the GROWFAQ and then come back and ask queston there are also grow journals to look to

naw if you're a newb don't worry about buying seeds
you can get some damn good results from a good set of bagseeds just save them up and try growing with them it's a trial and error learning process
look around at some of the grow journals and you can witness some of the fine results from bagseed you will be amazed
AND READ THE EFFING GROWFAQ!!!!
and read it again
