Some people will only be happy if everything is cheap and made in china 
Sometimes good stuff is not cheap. I'll probably break down and buy the charge pack at some point to try vs regular super soil but I had such good results on my last batch it probably won't be for a while...

Should work just fine. When mixed with soil and worm castings its pretty much the same as Bagged SS or Subs recipe. If your growing outdoor in pots/fabric bags just make sure they are big enough so you can put a decent amount of SS throughout.

Yeah we got some pretty good Organic soils at our local county forest supplies place. Thinking mix the charge with half a yard of soil, into a 200gal smart pot, then with the other half yard on top...
I hate 707 and the fucking gnats, but it does work well with SS.

I been lucky with 707 so far the past year I havent had a gnat. But yeah I hear the stories.
i am thinking of putting it outside in the shed to freeze and maybe kill the gnats or will that hurt the little things in the soil?

Dude just get some predatory nematodes, problem solved.
i don't like useing any cemicals at all you have gnat problems or spidermites from any soil get some of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/400382379995 works wonders

Lady Bugs arent really a gnat killer. And Predatory nematodes are organic they are just a microscopic ring worm that burrows down in the soil and eats the gnat larvae making adults not want to go anywhere near the soil. I already got gnats from my promix after just a few days 
Honeypot trap for gnats works really well. Small pot of dirt, put molasses directly into the soil, then cover the top with the yellow sticky strips. When the stickys get too covered with gnats, just replace them. Eventually you'll get them all. Something in the soil to prevent eggs such as nematodes or gnatrol will make it quicker.
Ladybugs are great for thrips and aphids. They will take aphids down FAST. I'm pretty sure those sick fuckers cannabalize each other too, as I never find near as many ladybugs dead as I launched live...

ugh! lame! had a problem with soil gnats somewhat recently so i bought a bunch of promix to get away from them. now your telling me you got them from promix? oh boy....I already got gnats from my promix after just a few days

Fungus gnats are always gonna come around especially when growing with organics, you shouldnt freak out if you see them unless the the infestation is major. Gnats are more of a nuisance pest rather than crop destroyer. It's true that the gnat larvae feed on the roots but you have to have a major infestation before you see any real crop damage. I have found them in coco bags, and soil bags before.. Just do what Subcool does in his videos, he adds the predatory nematodes to the water he uses to moisten the super soil before it cooks ( you have to add water to the nematodes sponge anyway) and then he pours that water over the soil ready to be cooked. By the time the soil is done cooking the nematodes will have done their job and no more gnats.

ya the first time before switching to promix it was a crazy infestation. one day no bugs then next full of bugs lol. and they never stopped coming! but ya ill deal with them that way next time for sure. sticky traps werent helping last time very much.

Sticky traps work dude the key is putting them in the right places I dont hang them anymore. I have osculating fans blowing at my plants leaving the gnat unable to fly ( this is why fans are important, bugs cant fly in windy conditions) I take my sticky traps and cut them into two with scissors, I then place the yellow pads on the soil by the crown of the plant. When gnats hatch from larvae they cant fly these are called juvenile gnats and they just crawl all over the soil and up the stalks of the plant, So I also take the other sticky trap that I cut and I rub down the stalk of the plant with the sticky side up to about 5 inches. The juvenile gnats get stuck when they want to crawl up the stalk and are unable to mature and mate so they die off. Combine this method with predatory nematodes or DE Earth and your problem will go away with in a few days.. This is just my technique that has worked for me in the past. I have also used drenches in hydroponic settings with products like azamax, go gnats , gnatrol ( gnatrol is the powder version of mosquito dunks) but since I do organics now I just fight mother nature with mother nature.

Yeah gnats are just annoying... i've had'em pretty bad with no effect on the plants

My SS mix has been sitting for almost 3 weeks now. Took a peek into it today and am started to get a nice web. the smell is pretty disgusting but that's how you know its ALIVE! I'm going to stir up 1 bin tomorrow and let it sit for another 2 weeks before I put it into use.

For my regular base ill be using Happy Frog juiced up a bit with Ancient Forrest and EWC
