Pineapple Chunk Monster | 400w | DWC

Hi guys welcome to my Flowering Grow Journal of Pineapple Chunk. There is very little info and pictures out there on the web about this strain so i figured it was time to break out my cam and start logging my success like old times!

Lighting: 400w Hortilux Super HPS throughout the entire grow w/ Large sunsystem hood. Also has protective tempered glass

Grow Room: 3'6'' x 3'6'' x 9' wooden DIY box lined with mylar.

Strain: Pineapple Chunk and Bluecheese, both barney's farm.

Veg Time: 3 weeks from first set of true leaves.

Grow System: Stand-Alone 5 gallon DWC buckets with 6'' netpots filled with hydroton

Nutrients: Full Dyna-gro line

The little plant in picture 4 is the bluecheese, soon to be overshadowed by the Pineapple Chunk. Not a problem really, just cracked it for kicks.

This is Day 12 since i flipped the lights 12/12. Everyone Says pineapple chunk Stretches so much that it becomes airy and spindly. Not going to call those people liars but that's obviously not that case with my pheno. I also LST, Top and SuperCrop like a madman on all my grows, might have something to do with keeping this beast under control. I can count 15+ tops on this thing. There is also a few on the back of the plant that i cant get a shot of. There is going to be some crazy buds on this thing.

Killed off the cheese plant, too small, annoying etc...I felt like giving this big girl all the room is the better bet in terms of yield

Humidity: 20%
Nutes: 850ppm @ .5 conversion

That bush looks beautiful man nice job. That cheese plant looks amazing too though I can't believe you killed it. It looked like it wasn't taking up much space, and the leaves were huge and beautiful. I heard along time ago that your biggest buds will be the size of your biggest fan leaves. Now I honestly don't know if thats true, but it has always seemed like it in my experiance or atleast close. Seems like that cheese could have gotten one huge ass cola on it.

There is more to it than what i wrote. The preflowers looked very deformed. Never seen it before. I have a bunch more that ill be doing next run for sure now that ive seen what it can do

you got a beauty there bro. I've gown PC (Barney's Farm) and it was bushy like yours and didn't stretch much at all, less than 50% height gained after 12/12 unlike my chemdog that's nearly tripled in height.

No, i top early and Pinch all throughout my veg. I also use a HPS from start to finish which some people suggest makes tighter nodes.

Day 22 Flowering

PPM: 650, dropped it a bit, she didnt like 800+
Temp: 78
Off Temp: 50's

Smell Report: The second i open that door i get a huge wiff of something i really can't even begin to describe. Maybe a slightly sweet, skunky and fruity all rolled into one. Its like nothing I've smelled before. Very strong and pungent. If i didnt have a real air scrubber the entire home would be engulfed in this strange smell.

Ah I have seen that before, did you make any changes to the nutrients they were being fed just prior to this happening?

no, i think it was just bad luck on the seeds part

This bitch is drinking 4 gallons of water(roughly what i fill up to in the 5 gallon bucket)in 48 hours. What. The. Fuck. Its a lot of work moving her out of the pot and into a empty one to res change but ill tell you what, its going to be worth it. I'm going to take a guesstimate now and say at least 10 ounces dry. This thing is MASSIVE.
