Aside from it being powdered (diluting is necessary) and pretty concentrated, is it ok for dwc? These are the active ingredients: sulfuric acid and monosodium 95%.
Well, most water out of the tap is 7+. That's all I use for PH UP. Down is what you really need, especially if you're a hydro grower. Will it work? Yep it sure will ph down is ph down as ph up is ph up. You can even use dolomite lime or lime juice and other things as natural stuff in your soil so you don't need to adjust.
It's just not marketed towards plants is all. Ph up/down isn't really that expensive though
With my nutes(dyna grow) I don't have to use either My water is from a well and I just add the right amount of nutes and it puts me in the perfect range whether I'm in soil or hydroWell, most water out of the tap is 7+. Yea I love it. Makes it really simple. I only use my ph pen once in awhile just to make sure things are still good from my well.Yeah that stuff is pretty tight. I'm still doing a lot of old school stuff so I'll probably always be chasing PH numbers around. Plus I've ran the same 3 part series for.... ever basically, so I'm pretty hesitant to try anything new to be honest.
Yup, the only thing I've needed to add is GH calimagic and gro-tek instagreen. It's not needed, but it helps my aggressive vegging.Yea I love it. Makes it really simple. I only use my ph pen once in awhile just to make sure things are still good from my well.
If something isn't broken don't try to fix it. Just improve it
Oy. I'm not sure I'd use anything in my hydro grow that you use in a pool. It seems like those chemicals are too toxic for something you're ingesting.Aside from it being powdered (diluting is necessary) and pretty concentrated, is it ok for dwc? Yep. I just buy PH down buy the gallon now. You use enough of it in hydro setups.+1
I dont think I've ever used any of my ph up. The bottle has just sit there while I've gone through bottle upon bottle of ph down.
GH PH down works great. potent stuff.GH ph Down is made from phosphoric acid. I think the pool stuff (and a common DIY recipe) use sulfuric acid. What's the difference? I dunno - not a chemist.

Hey man. Ive used it. Works fine. But some of that pool stuff wont bring your ph down below 6.5-6.9. Every brand is different. Just make sure it will bring the water to the ph that you want.
