first off I'd like to than Bozo, and others for helpin' me out.

I exchanged the HID lighting for CFLs and I feel lots safer, not to mention I can cook at the same time
and not blow the circuits.

So here are some pics. My poor plants really suffered with the cold. they're seedlings really. But as the guy at the store told
me, put the lights really close to them. Please, feel free to offer advice or criticism. I'm really in the beginning stages here.

Thanks, and voila le pics:View attachment 2482912View attachment 2482913View attachment 2482914View attachment 2482915View attachment 2482916

I put lights up close to the plants, but can they burn? Its pretty cold, so the temps should be no more than 24 or 25 degrees max
for humidity, I spray them.
Please let me know thoughts. This is really at the beginning stages here...

you can get the lights 2" away from the plants. keep them on 18/6 or 20/4 if youd like, and let them veg for as long as you want. just remember, when you switch to flower, the plant will grow 1/3 or even double its size. some people veg for two weeks, some for a month, some for two months.

dont overwater seedlings. they just want moisture, not drinks yet.

keep us updated. this setup looks promising :)

if conditions are correct, they will exit seedling stage in a week and begin vigorious vegetative growth

Those lights will do for now, but as they get older you may want to incorporate some side lighting. What lights do you plan on using to flower?

those ballasts will do. he can get one more for flower if he wants, and get two 2700k bulbs instead, and leave one 6400k up

what is the current wattage and lumens?

high man, i got your pm and so here i am to take a look and i like it, ...that's actually a 2 bulb T5 setup and not CFLs, which are those twisty bulbs, but both are flouro's and will work fine, actually, that T5 setup will work better than common CFLs and when the time comes you can either add another of those fixtures or 2 or, if you're at all handy i can show you some other options that will allow you to up the watts by double.

...anyway, that's a discussion for another day, as for your question about you running auto's and what light schedule to run them on i'd say that if they are true auto's it won't matter what schedule you run, they will go into flower according to their own genetic clock and flower all the way to finish regardless, ...so i'd run my light's 24/7 if it were me, ...i have to admit though that it could never be me because i am against the mixing of ruderalis genes into our gene pool so i would never run auto's in my garden.

...i just can't get used to the idea that i might find a plant that produced the best bud i'd ever had but i could never reproduce her, one seed, one plant, no exceptions. ...i have a few mothers that i've had in my collection for more than 4 years and as a hobby grower and a dedicated stoner i am always searching for another 'keeper', ...most of my keepers i got as clones but my favorites are the ones i popped from seed, ...i have a couple from crosses of my own too, that feels nice to find a special girl from beans you made yourself, ON PURPOSE, lol, and not by accident.

anyway, that also is a discussion for another time and place, in the meantime work with what you have and let's see if we can't get a successful harvest under your belt, ...there will be plenty of time for you to begin collecting a gene pool of your own down the road.

peace, bozo

Stop helping. You haven't even finished one grow. Stop... Just no. Look at your posts, not even an hour apart completely different. You don't have a clue.
i would say 18/6, but since hes on 24hr straight, i know he wont jump to 18/6..so i suggested 20/4

i can help with simple subjects like this.

dude..do 20/4. life needs rest.
Kid.
Shut your pie hole or at least say the same misinformation twice.
First you tell Bozo that the OP didn't say the plants are autos, but WHY?
Bozo never said the OP did say that.
You try and tell the OP to go 18/6, then 20 minutes later you say to do 20/4.
Why don't you get some actual experience YOURSELF instead of what you 'hear' or what your 'friend' does before you go spouting off to others that are looking for GOOD answers.

i was taught that life can never survive without slumber periods

i bet you wouldnt like being made to work 24/7

plus plants release a lot of hormone during dark period

Everybody has to start somewhere man.
Looks like a decent starting point, but one thing I noticed that I want to mention, when you repot, read the sticky about burying the stretched stems.
It IS easy, and will help in the long run.
Keep your Flouros close, and get a fan going, the moving air will simulate outside wind, and help fool the plants into strengthening the stems.;-)
Remember, with Flouros, more almost never hurts.

thats incorrect. any creature that goes through a process to convert raw material to energy REQUIRES rest.

a conscious mind has nothing to do with how bodily system work lmao. during the night, when we are in our most "unconsious" state, we are still processing

if all our bodily functions needed conciousness and concentrating, we would have to worry about how our hearts beating, how our intestines are absorbing and extracting water, how our skin ph and mositure is etc. you get it
