Alright i feel like 50 days of flower is a lot to not be full of amber hairs.......

1. can anyone tell the strain or something close?


2. can anyone predict an estimate yield?

Because of the lighting, i would be prepared to wait a lil longer if i was you.. could be a 9-10 weeker for sure. But is looking great!
Looks like a very white type of bud which no one is gonna be able to guess the exact strain for you. I think 10 grams dried bud as far as weight goes.

50 days is only 7 weeks and 1 day, which is not very long at all. You might want to get a small handheld scope so you can check how the trichomes look.

she looks like she has a 2 to 3 weeks to go once the orange comes in you are getting close. some bud is better than no bud specially for your first time.

I'm guessing she won't produce a single seed since she's female right? I don't feel like going through the trial and error with 10 seeds hoping for one female again! I am obviously past the cloning period! lol

Those buds still have some plumping to be doing, but yeh i see 10-14 g at the max. Remember once the bud is picked and hung for days, it will shrink alot. Looks as though it will be of decent quality though.
You seem to have maintained good health in the plant and i wouldnt worry about leaves dropping off, when and if they do it's ok.

Okay great, Appreciate that. What should I do for my next plant to help yield using CFL...I have no option but to use CFLs. I know i made the mistake putting the light high and all on top so it stretched like crazy. Will LST or topping or anything really like double the yield maybe adding another CFL or two but changing the grow type? I didn't use nutes until the 2-3 week of flowering so i will start that much sooner as well.

lol females dont make seeds. just buy feminized seeds to avoid that problem.

Glad to help brother.. I haven't used CFL lights before so mabe someone else could throw you some pointers. But it looks to me as if all you're lights are scattered around the plant rather than above it, i would suggest a stronger watt bulb being over the plants head at very low height because i know CFL don't give off too much heat, right?
Basically keeping the lights low and close to the plant is going to give you a more bushy plant and more dense flowers. Also a longer veg period.

yeah i figured with it stretched i could keep all the light at the top cuz the bottom half wouldnt get any light so i gave every six inches or so a light around 4 inches away some closer. im hoping to keep is short and bushy next time....if i get a female....thanks man ill be posting updated!

Here's one.....
30 days vegged under 98w of CFL's, and now 36 days from flip.
I just added 200w of the CFL's in last pic a week and half ago.

white hairs will recede and turn orange and new ones will come out. that plant has min of 3 weeks, i would guess closer to 4 before its done. she is looking good though definatly improving.

they will start dying off about 2 weeks before harvest time so thats a good indication that your getting close.

No, females need male pollen to produce seeds. so unless it hermied on you it shouldnt have any seeds.

probabally dont need to start nutes sooner, only if the plant needs them are they going to really help otherwise.
yes a couple more CFL's and doing some LST and possibly a ScROG will increase your yeild 10 fold because oyu can concentrate all your light onto one spot instead of having to provide light for a 5 ft plant

have a buddy that dosent grow order them..its really not as big of a deal as alot of people think. i wouldnt have them sent to my house if i was growing in it illigally but thats why you can just have a friend who dosent grow order them and just tell him you will hit him off with a nice nug

oh and if you do find a seed save it it will more than likely have a 95% chance of being a female. and where your growing for personal reasons a seed here and there dont really matter, better than growing a reg seed out for 6 weeks and getting a male...ill take the gaurenteed female with hermie traits.
