Curling on young plant (1st set of leaves)

DSCN0202.jpgDSCN0200.jpgDSCN0217.jpgDSCN0208.jpg So these girls just popped through the soil on Jan10th so they're growing up real quick. They already have their 1st set of serrated leaves. Anyways the one all the way to left has some curling, almost an arc pointing towards the ground.(The others seem ok and have more of a horizontal shape to them) This occurred tonight which could be 1 of 2 things perhaps both. I watered tonight, a little more than usual ( I was just misting the soil up until tonight) I also lowered the light which I have raised back up. I have them under T5s in my veg room right now. Anyways is this normal and should I not worry to much and just make the proper adjustments? Or could this be a issue? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-Ds

Don't water too much, you want your plants to dry out every 24-48 hrs

Besides that, the cotyledon or seed leaves will eventually die, they are only there to start the first real set of leaves.
Your plants look nice and healthy, just moderate that water and depending on what your RH is, maybe consider putting a dome on it.

What nutrient line are you going with? what medium?

Promix seedling soil, watering tap that's been left out for 24hrs as of to evaporate chlorine ect. I'll be starting nutrients in about 2-3 weeks.

I know that the cotyledons die and fall off, I was talking about the 1st set of serrated leaves that seemed to be curling. You were right though it was overwatering seems to back to normal when I woke up this morning. I'll make sure to give them a good dry before I water. Thanks

I'm not so sure that leaving your tap water sit for any length of time removes any chlorine, and a good root drench solution would be very good for the young seedlings before you start the growing nutes. and make sure you adjust for proper water PH too

You can use root drench every other week throughout your grow, correct?
that is correct and there is no need to over do it, if you stick with what they <{your brand} recommends or slightly less you will be glad you did... less money spent over all and maybe better results
mostly that refers to regulars nutes used during your complete grow, kinda hard to hurt with the root drench if you follow directions. I don't know if anybody else likes using it but i really liked the results from foxfarms Micro brew tea along with there root drench, i noticed a big difference in overall yield first grow period with them using the same seed stock from the prior grow without, everything else was the same.
anyway good luck!!

if your leaving you water out it need to be under uvb light either in your grow area or in a window... the light nuetralizes all the chemical.. you can go a step further and filter the water to remove things such as iron and what not.. learned that trick from my aquarium guy... best way to clean water for your fish tank

I got some Bushdoctor Microbe Brew (Has mycorrhizae) and kangaroots. looking forward to seeing how they work out my next grow around. but their application rates are so low... .5ml per gallon each.

Cool thanks for the tip, might look into a reverse osmosis filter down the road...

Ya I might only put half the recommended dose just to play it safe.

I went to the hydro store today and of course the lady behind the counter didn't know jack shit when I was asking about nutes. She just kept pointing me towards the most expensive name brand nutes saying that's what the owner uses. haha. I know I'm a noob but I am not falling for that shite.
