Question about wet trimming flowers???

I am going to be harvesting for the first time so bear with me :-) My question is after you remove a flower branch....Do you trim the larger fan leaves off at the bottom of their stem where it meets the bud, and then leave the flowers to dry? Or do you trim the smaller inner sugar leaves as well and then dry? I saw a video where they just trimmed the larger fan leaves, and left the more detailed trimming closer to the bud itself until after a good dry.

trimming when dry will make it much more difficult. also will leave you with more leaf material attached to the bud.

some people prefer to do it because it slows down their dry time thus leading to a smellier end product.

i'm no expert but what i found works for me is to cut all the large fan leaves off before i cut it down. then hang it up without doing the small trim. 2 days later after the bud has shrunk a little it's easier to get these leaves so you have less green on your buds than if you trimmed everything before the bud shrank. it makes the leaves droopy and soft. really easy to cut/pull off.

That looks like a good method to start with.

Both ways work but I prefer trimming all at once before it dries as well...for the same reason poly mentioned. My suggestion..try both and see what you prefer...best way to find out.

yea don't let it dry all the way before you cut the small bitches. it does suck that way. i just do two days. but with everything else in this hobby. best to try things for yourself :)

It's really a matter of preference. I personally trim the large leaves off and leave the smaller ones til after its dried.
