Awesome!, now I'm combing stores for empty cake pans to use 4/humidity domes...wish I could buy them w/o the damn cakes thoughThats all I use ... never had problems.
I've tried peat pellets, coir pellets and peat sponges they seemed to work as well as rockwool cubes for me. But none of them worked as well, for me, as my larger homemade aero cloner. I just got a new mini turbokloner and will be starting clones today between both my turbo and homemade aero cloner to see if there's any difference.Hi all,
Does/has anyone use/d these successfully in place of rockwool etc?.
TY in advance for any assistance.
This is the best advice. You have to find out which technique works best for you and you like the most. That's what I did. That's why it takes so much time to learn this hobby........snip........Use whatever works for you.
The clones have failed, and as you can see by date I've been very patient. They didn't die, but haven't established enough roots to support new growth. And I need to use stronger cuttings from up higher on plants I think. I'm going to try rockwool plus a nute solution this time.I've tried peat pellets, coir pellets and peat sponges they seemed to work as well as rockwool cubes for me. But that was why I tried the peat pellets & peat sponges & coir pellets & rockwool to test to see if any worked better to answer that question for myself.
I watered the stem right into the medium w/spray bottle, so that the peat sealed itself. Having read the other numerous cloning problem threads, it was probably my original cuttings being too small. If you use Jiffy pellets, you have to make sure that when you stick the cutting in the pellet, the hole isn't too big.
lightly pack the pellet around the stem.
