i don't see anything odd or crazy about news stations not reporting on something when it gets used in its intended fashion. i don't expect a news station to report on my car getting me from A to B, but i might just make the news if my car explodes into flames and blocks up a busy highway.
or blows up a classroom full of kindergarteners.

I miss my shotgun, nothing special but I had a mossberg 500 trophy shotgun 20 gauge shooting .45 sabot slugs and loved it, was basically a 20 gauge rifle with heavy stopping power, sadly joined the felony club and not worth it to have guns around anymore I still shoot with friends when I can but no guns in the house

Ok your right. A mother who probably saved herself and kids from a sick tragedy because she was able to defend her home with a firearm deserves no attention. If they were raped tortured and murdered..then people want to hear about it! Or maybe if he shot all them instead they would be able to bash gun owners again and it would have been all over the national news.

I don't live in a bad neighborhood and I keep to myself, plus I sleep with and carry a framing hammer at all times, god forbid some shit did go down or I had reason to fear I could go 300 yards up the street and arm myself any time I just don't keep them on my actual property

I'm actually a very peaceful and easygoing guy I'm sure we'd get along fine if we met in real life I'd gladly smoke you up but when I go to unsavory parts of the city where my friend lives i always carry it and wont hesitate to fuck someone up. I picked it up as a weapon of choice from my ex gf's hells angel father who always carried one on him and one day I asked him why. I'll never forget the matter of fact look on his face when he said "gets shit done quick" guy did way more than his fair share and was so well respected that they allowed him to leave on good terms when his daughter was born so I never knew him during his mayhem days

guns in the home more often result in the death of a loved one or family member than the effective self defense against an intruder, and i haven't noticed anyone complaining about a lack of coverage of these cases.

You havnt' noticed because stories like this just dont get covered. Nobody ever hears about them. You rarely ever hear about when tragedies are avoided because of a firearm in the house. But if there's a accident..omg! All gun's should be banned!

I'm helping a buddy with some doorframes. We had to swing by the hardware store, and like two guys escaping duty, of course we dawdled in the tool section. He expressed interest in a nailgun. i was gonna guess that you rarely hear of them because they're...(wait for it)...rare.
there's an exceedingly low number of justifiable homicides each year, the number of them that happen within the confines of the gun owner's house is just a fraction of that rather small whole.
by the way, no need for the apostrophe in "guns" and not many people are calling for an outright ban of all guns. in fact, i can't think of a single person. what lays behind your over-defensive hyperbole?

I can back all my statements up. Can you? No, they will start with ammo...then assault type. Maybe the other way around now. Witch btw the majority of people who want any private ownership of a firearms banned, have no clue what a assault rifle even really is. Or the difference between semi auto and fully auto.
