No one still answered my question... are the nerds in general risking going into the database and getting the state med card or are you sticking with just the doctor's authorization? I can see good arguments for and against both... curious what others think

Also if you get the state card, are you sticking to the AG recommended limits (12 immature/6 mature/8oz) or are you going with doctor's recommendation limits?

There is no reason to get the state issued card. It used to give you a better shot at having a cop let you go with your stash, but these days all you need is the rec. Dispensaries only ask for a rec, and if you do end up in court, it's the doctor that's going to save your ass, not the card.

And personally, I feel that unless you are posting videos of your grow online you don't need to worry about any limits. After all, NO ONE is going to know that you're growing dank, right? RIGHT? If no one knows what does it matter?

You kids and your quasi-legality. I just continue to follow the original first rule about grow club. You don't talk about grow club! :) Just pretend it's 1995 and nothing is legal. How would you grow under those circumstances? That's how you should grow now.

It's not about being in the registry today. It's what happens in the future when some conservative gets into the presidency again and who knows maybe some kind schwarzenneger type somehow got into governor in CA. How secure do you feel being a grower in the database in that situation? I would not feel worried at all if I were just a smoker. The concern is that it's still big jail time should dea somehow get ahold of that list and start going after growers on it. Yeah it's a big list, but they like to make examples of people in situations like that. Your chances are small, but do you want to be the person spending years in jail because you were an example? Seems like a pretty unlikely situation overall, but it's something to think about.

Oh yeah, if you think NSA doesn't have everyone on the cali medical list flagged in your file, you're crazy. NSA sees and knows all.

That's actually not true. The states attorney general has said explicitly that if you have the card that you will NOT go to court if you are in your limits. If you are over your limits but within your plant limits, you may or may not be going to court depending on if the cops are a) pot hating dicks or b) think you are using the med card to sell illegally. It's up to the discretion of the cops once over your limits if he wants to take it to court. Once you get to court, you're right, the card does not make a difference either you're in your recommendation and the court buys it or they don't. Following the limits, according to the state AG, will keep you from getting to court in the first place.

PS - if you do end up in court, you have to justify your amount of plants grown as medically necessary. You can't just grow 99 (or however many) plants because the doctor says it's ok - you have to show you need that many plants. Also not an issue with the card -- if you are in limits, the presumption is that you are within your medical needs and no need to prove it as the state already verified that when they approved your card.

As for security you're right on with that -- even if you're not afraid of the state coming, there's always thieves.

Someone here once said that any method of making hash other then the ice water method was wack. I would tend to agree with that statement, however ingesting Ever-clear derived oil is freaking crazy. It's very similar to Oxy from what I can tell. I've never been so lit up on edibles before. I ball up about 2-3 pea sized balls and swallow them with water and a couple hours later you're nodding out at the computer like a heroin addict. :eyesmoke:

I really liked episode 107. Sub I thought a couple episodes back you popped some Querkle beans. I didnt hear or see them mentioned. I am growing out a pack and was interested in following that grow. Maybe Im just stoned. Are you still running them?
