A+ for foward thinking ...C- for practicality .....not sure the means justify the ends on this one.... if you need a more clear picutre of what im talking about watch the current season of "moonshiners" on TV...they got 2 guys on there trying to build a moonshine still underground...again A+ for foward thinking yet D- for productivity and practicality...after seeing that im sure you will put down the pipe and be thankfull for whatever grow setup you currently have in place..anything done underground brings a whole slew of different issues to deal with ..still "rooting" for you though..pardon the pun !

:wall: I think I was confused in thinking this message board was compossed of adults and not kids :wall:

I remember like it was yesterday. When back in the day someone recommended useing LEDs and everyone shitted on that idea...now look how its evolved.

word from the wise... dont shit on new ideas...everything we use was built on new (sometimes dumb sounding) ideas.

Washing hands before surgury used to be a dumb idea too.

The world used to be flat in some people's minds too. Just because someone has an idea does not give them freedom from scrutiny. Read back where I covered and explained endlessly how this will never be efficient. I included actual laws of physics, they are this pesky thing that explains how the world around us actually works. An adult knows that just because something hasn't been done, doesn't mean it's a good idea to do it; a kid blindly follows what someone says without analyzing the legitimacy. Since you commented on how grown up people are here, I figured I'd point that out.

I dislike how you word shit like... This Is how This works , your a fucking person, a human being that makes mistakes. Quit talking like your incapable of being wrong or that your side means everything , Or that your always right, the way you word shit makes me want to hit you, like your some PHD because You heard correctly. 2 sides to every story, we all live on the same fucking earth. we're all equal, I can't stand someone talking down to someone.

I'm not a PHD, I just did a little something called "Due diligence", try it sometime. I'm only condescending to you because you got snarky. If you can't take it, don't dish it out. Also, references to how you'd like to hit people on the internet are really pointless. I can be wrong at times, however this guy has provided nothing to refute basic physics that I brought up long ago. Like I said, just because it's an idea doesn't make it a good one. This is novel, but not practical or efficient. That's not according to me, that's just how light works buddy.

interesting. the best bets you could go with for a natural light source like this for growing would be to look into glass lenses. See how camera lenses work, optics, bend and focus the light for optimal results. Still a fat chance itll work, but do some research on focusing light and try it out. A custom tube with a glass lens on the end may work better than a pop bottle.

Lol.. All kinds of people arguing now. Everybody calm down. Everyone makes a good point on both sides of the fence. Lol im building this thing soon enough and will try it out. Im gonna try it in a rubbermaid container.. With like 1 plant being lit by 1 solar bulb.

Well, if you have done all of your research you would know lumen, are what the human eye picks up; not plants. How is this not common knowledge? YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT LIGHT WILL BE REDISTRIBUTED.

Scrutiny...How about useful/corrective criticism instead of just a punch in the balls....there are a few who did and you may or may not be one of them.

I 100% agree it wouldn't be efficient. and its completely unpractical when you can accomplish more more yield in a PC case or a Rubbermaid with a handful of CFLs for less then $100. or in his idea in useing it outside.....welll....you could just use the sun...

Oh, the OP and I reached an understanding of sorts. I was a part of the people actually trying to be helpful at one point. I asked questions that he should know the answers to if he has actually thought this through; when he had no answers, I actually went out and provided him with some of the information he would need to make an intelligent decision. I was helpful, then came the ball punching after posting of facts got me branded some kind of know it all. If people are going to ignore science in a thread about growing using the method the op spoke of, then I got "two sides to every story" as a response from someone. My recent dickish responses have been directed at the guy who said that.
