Topping/LST

tbh, from the pic it doesn't really needs to be lst atm of time, nodes are close enough and plant already has a decent amount of secondary branches. let it grow some more before you start to do any other training. also Ndodson is correct, you don't tie or lst down the bottom branches unless they start to dominate and outgrows the top node.

many things to factor in when deciding which method of training and when to train. normally i don't do any training for the first 4-5wks, and depending on how the plant is growing i would either top or lst after the 4-5wk time frame. if i plan on taking a cut and don't want to wait until the secondary nodes kick in or gets large enough to clone, then i would suggest topping. if i plan on vegging for a while than i'll lst.

you seem like you're very eager to learn and want to learn all the neat tricks while growing, but don't buy into a lot of what these dudes put out there on this board for newbies to grab and turn a good thing into a bad situation. don't believe me, look and you'll notice that about 80% of the post are always asking for help.

as a newbie, the best piece of info i can give you is to keep things as simple as possible. lsting, supercropping and topping will have it's time and place. try to learn and focus on how to feed and water properly and as your plants are growing take notice on how they are growing (structure) then apply what you feel is needed at that moment in time.
if you have any questions and i could be of assistance just shout me out.

After you get your third node you can start training
lol. this is the type of info i was referring too. Bigbull, if you're really looking for a site that you can learn from, try the farm. with all the misinformation given here, i wouldn't be surprised if i was to see a help thread from you by the end of the week.

the only reason why i did the bottom was cos they seemed to close to the stem and the bigger leaves were blocking the light, the stem is quite thick, but was going to let it grow more,
got a 200w cfl dual light in did try a 250w but got to hot for the tent only have one fan at the moment in the tent

i get what you are saying, but its possible to train it to grown round the pot, wouldn't that give each stem more light? iv'e only had one successful grown and that was outside last year with SS, so trying a bit of indoor growing, one auto, and the KK, Started 12/12 as soon as the seeds popped out of the soil, the auto diesel/blueberry looks different so packed is that normal 2012-12-30 15.43.48.jpg2013-01-06 22.43.47.jpg

If you plan on topping a plant I always top a week to 10 days before flower. Topping in flower does not give the little shoots time to get bigger before flowers start. Personally I would let the girl re-veg first before topping the main stem. Re-vegging is enough stress adding more stress would not be a good thing

I top not lst for one reason...better height control, my room dictates height and with lst they end up taking up more space than if topped My yeilds are superb!

Good Luck

I wouldn't 12/12 autos from seed. I wouldn't even 12/12 them at all. The best light for them would be 18/6 all the way through. They flower on their own, hence the name autoflower, and will do it regardless of the light cycle. That could be why it's been growing so long, yet it's so short and compact. A lil heads up, before you start your next grow, make sure you get all your info together. Also, are you planning on cloning the Kandy Kush? If I were you, I would. That way you don't have to start from seed next time, and you can continue that strain for as long as you want. My cousin has been growing the same strain from clone for 17 years, and the clone he got to start, came from someone who had been doing the same for about 5-8 years or so. So, it's been going forever. And all from cloning.

Best lighting schedule for Autos is 20/4 autos don't require a dark period but giving them the 4hrs is just to save some on the electric bill lol

yes i will and just cause a plant is growing doesn't mean that's being grown right. shit as you can see, everyone grow's but not everyone is effective at growing, that's why there are so many help threads on this site as it is. so you said that to say what?

and 3 nodes or less, lol? you got to be kidding me. as much as you may hate to believe it, but your post was just a waste of bandwidth and space. ironically, i could imagine all the noobs here taking in what you say as if it was gospel. unless there was a lot of unnecessary stretch (stress) between them 3 nodes or even worst 2 nodes, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to lst 3 or less nodes.
