Each and every state is a bit different, but I just as well could take a line from you and tell you that if you don't like the rules in your state, you can just MOVE.

But I thought there was protection of minorities?

United BUT separate.

Where does it say "fair" in the Constitution/Bill of Rights?

Thanks for not taking the low path and insulting me.

I used to believe in Santa Claus, too.

thats a little abstract . .perfect is slightly less abstract. it has rules and guidelines to progress and change since perfection is every fleeting pinnacle as technological and sociological advancements are occurring

I'm tickled you asked!

Okay ... my opinion:
"perfect" is a morally generic term. It may include "fair" and it may not. Thus my apples/oranges allusion. Both fruit, both different.

I suspect the framers knew that "fair" is a fraught term, which is why it and similar terms, e.g. "equitable" are few and far between in the founders' documents. The fairness/equity issue is fairly (!) new to Constitutional law if I am reading right ... and seems to be a point of great contention between socialist and individualist ("libertarian") philosophical poles in our national debate. cn

I'm a Libertarian, as such I realize there aren't one law fits all geographic region. You have spotted owl laws in Oregon and California Condor laws in California.

But a gay Duck is no different from a gay Prune Picker. You don't all of a sudden become gay in one state, straight in another and bi if you have a foot in each. Unless you're the Green Lantern.
