You should be proud! Now that is a pretty plant.
Yeah I am pretty pleased at this point. She is just starting to smell a little. I need to start working on odor control pretty soon.....ChockfullonutsYou should be proud! Now that is a pretty plant.
I will give that a try a little later after the lights come on...ChockfullonutsCan you take a picture through a magnifying glass so we can see the little oil droplets?
Happy New Year! Here are a few pics that show what I couldn't get a good of pic of last week. All the little white spots are what you were asking about. These buds have become quite gooey...but they are not too smelly yet. As of today this plant (it is only one plant, by the way) has been in flower for one month and one day....ChockfullonutsCan you take a picture through a magnifying glass so we can see the little oil droplets?
Reply With QuoteIt's coming along slowly. Has four stems; all hooked down to the table. Thanks for your interest...ChockfullonutsNice, that's what I was looking for. How's your clone ding?
Funny, I got to this point without being sure what a trichome was. Your post induced me to do some research. I'm now up to speed on trichomes. I will be checking my buds with my loupe in order to hit the harvest point on the nose. I was expecting more vertical growth; there is some, but most of the action is next to the stems under the growing tips. The majority of my growing tips seem to be developing into small colas. Thanks for your post....Chockfullonutsthose are called trichomes man, ...here's a look a little closer.

peace, bozo
If its really bud rot it will easily pull away from the plant in your hand. and It will have a soft mushy consistency, a bit like weetabix.Have a problem with my plant. Went out to check and see how she was doing this evening after the lights came on. Took her out of the box and put her on the table to look her over and see how everything was going. First thing I noticed was two of the smaller buds have turned brown. I have done some reading here and on some other forums and it seems like bud rot...from what I've read. I only see this on these two buds. I have seen numerous opinions from, "CHOP or lose it all" to "Snip off those buds and watch it". The lights are not too close, so it isn't burned. I have had the lights closer than they are now. I have pretty much decided to snip off all the brown stuff. The whole bud is not brown, it is more on the top. Should I just cut off the affected areas or both entire buds. I have posted pics of affected buds and a pic of those buds and nearby unaffected buds. What about picking up a cheap dehumidifier online? If you jam enough fans in there it would also really help with bud rot.Appreciate you reading my thread. For the last couple of weeks the humidity has been very high and I have no way to control it. I am growing in an unconditioned space in a tropical climate. I have good airflow from the bottom exiting through the top....but for my next grow in this box I will definately increase the cfm of my exhaust fan. I topped (this is a single plant) while in veg, got four trunks. I am growing the top in the cabinet next door. It has been growing slowly. I fimmed it and got four trunks, they are all hooked down to an LST table. Thanks for your interest....Chockfullonuts
The volume of my box is only 3.38 cuft. I have two 21 cfm fans. One that sucks hot air from around the lights and sends to the other in the ceiling that exhausts the box. If my math is correct, I am changing my air a little over six times per minute. I checked ebay for a dehumidifier. Found a little one that would fit in my box for about $25.00. Eva-Dry....rechargeable, does not need to be plugged in to operate. Good reviews. I will probably pick one up By the way, no more issues since I found the two brown buds a week ago Saturday; makes no sense, but I'm happy.....ChockfullonutsWhat about picking up a cheap dehumidifier online?
