Howdy folks. Sorry about the delay in updating, but I haven't been able to spend as much time with the lady's this week as I usually like to. I have a shitty back/Sciatica, and popped a disk a few days ago.. Just finally getting back up and around.
I had a feeling my God's treat genetics had a Hermie trait, but wasn't positive. I have grown it 3 times so far, and each time it popped nanners. I chalked it up to user error. Before X mas I gave a few clones to a friend, and his Hermi'ed. I was keeping a close eye on the 4 plants I have going this round, and after giving them a good search this past Saturday, I found nanners on all 4. Most was on the under growth, that wasn't getting good light, but there were quite a few of them. 99% that I found, hadn't opened yet either, and the ones that did, were jammed between a bud, and the stem, so hopefully polination was minimal. I know it only takes a small amount to ruin a crop. I thought long and hard about weather or not I was going to chop them, but I decided not to just yet. I am positive that I got all the nanners, and will keep a CLOSE eye on them over the next few days, to see how fast they are popping up. If I cant keep up, they will get tossed. I have tossed my God's Treat mother. Some people HATE seeds in their weed, but I don't mind if it's a small amount. I like to experiment, and with 5 different strains in there, I could find something interesting. If I was trying to make a profit of any kind, it would be a different story.
Lets start with The Gods Treat.. This was my favorite of the bunch until I found the nanners..
I gave her a major haircut. and lolli popped her tops, so I could keep a closer eye on things. I know this might have contributed to the problem, but meh.. What else can happen right? Maybe stunt it a bit? Maybe more nanners? We will see I guess. I have searched the rest of the plants, and didn't find anything.. And you better believe I am a semi pro Nanner Hunter now.
This is after Haircut shot And some of the nanners I picked off with wet tweesers.
Scrog is doing Great. No Issues to speak of. well, left side was a bit too stretchy, and nodes could have been closer, but I won't complain (Much) Left side is my Stink berry, Right side is Great White Shark... Probably going to remove some node blocking foliage at the end of week 6.. give the buds that last few weeks of better light. Won't remove enough to stall them.
Buds are starting to get fat.. This is day 2 of Week 5.. Pics were taken yesterday. My stinkberry (left side scrog & First pic ) packs it on the last 2 weeks, and its a 9 week strain, so I am not concerned that they are a bit behind (grew her multiple times as well).. Looks like the Shark will get nice and fat by the end. (Right side scrog & second pic) The God's Treat (Last few pics) is the furthest along, and the quickest finisher.. I will take it down at 8 weeks, or sooner if I fall to the nanners.
Here is a quick shot of the Blueberry Kush. Its a slow grower so far, and the pistol's are really thick. Looks like a perfect pair of open legs. Getting real frosty though.
SO all in all, minus the Hermi's.. Things are going well.. It was pretty cold out the past few days ( like minus 15 + wind chill), and the room held steady at no lower than 74. Today it warmed up, and room was up to 81 at one point. Supposed to be pretty warm the rest of the week.
