How do these look to you?

I use rockwool for the first 2 weeks or when the roots come out the bottom of the 6x6 cube. Than I place in soil, I found that the plants growth doubles in the amount of time it would take if I were to plant in strait soil... So I guess I'm neutral

I use Rockwool too, it works great! I tried peat pucks the first time I cloned and only had 7 out of the 10 survive. My next two times I cloned I used Rockwool and had no losses

i have noticed a littler bit of yellowing on 1 of my clones lowest leafs. I was watering with a ph of 6.1 in coco coir. Im gonna try watering with 5.5 ph water and see what happens

As far as I know, yellowing on clone leaves is a natural process of the plant putting it's energy into root formation, nothing to worry about and should be expected. Still, I do water my clones with 5.5 PH and they look very nice. I guess we all have to figure out what works well for us in our area as we all work with different water and growing mediums.

I've never used those.. Then again I don't clone. I'm addicted to autos, so Im not sure of those plugs would do me good. Do you use cloning gel or powder?

I wasn't careful with humidity and temps my first time and that ended up being my biggest issue for clones. Do you have them under a proper dome with a heat matt? Do you lift the dome everyday to give them a little fresh air? ...Did you make sure the clones had at least three nodes when you took them? ...Did you use a rooting hormone that wasn't contaminated by dipping directly into the jar rather then expelling a little to use? Some strains take longer to root...mine are around 5-6 days before the nodes start to swell into whitish bulbs, then about a week from there for good roots. I hope it works out

ohhhh...ummm no i didnt take them when they had 3 nodes....shit. they were pretty small. about a total of 2 inches tall.I think they are starting to root though. Hopefully they dont get root rot though. no dome. I was covering with foil to keep humidity in and light. took it off though, because i realized i watered too much and i need to dry the soil out.

Yes. There is a lot to know.. Luckily when I started, my dad gave me this huge talk about the grow thing... An on top of google, I'm like... Pretty close to knowing how I'm growing for the rest of my life
So much to experiment with... I still have not grown outside yet.. Doubt I ever will, screw WA State

I've heard things about the powder, are you hydro or soil? Gel is more for soil, cause it gets rinsed off to easily in a cloner. Even though the powder gets rinsed off, it disolves in the water so well it basically acts like a nutrient water and still does what it's suppose to do...

I've never cloned though, so IDK lol I'm just talkin

How long has it been since you put them in? I was so consumed with checking my first time, I started looking for roots from day one and getting madder every day I didn't see them,lol. I have had some clones work that has less than three nodes, so there is hope, but the "dudes in the know" say to cut after the forth node and it's the forth node you dip....and remove the lower leaves and cut the fan leaves to half their size but leave the smaller leaves alone. BTW, I use Rockwool to root my clones, you just wait until you see the roots coming though and then just leave it in the cube and put in right in the soil.

yes, I have actually read the same. i researched a shit ton back in the day. I just forgot that you shouldnt cut them when theyre too small. but its been about 1 1/2 weeks. had 8. 2 days ago 2 of them looked beyond repair so i plucked em and didnt see any roots. today I say that one looked really bad so i gently pulled it outta the coco to see if it had roots and it is just starting to get growth. and thats on the bad looking one. The other 4 look good though. So i think im good. I just gotta hope i dont get root rot...

I grow indoor in soil for now...it's just a small opp. I hope to expand when I know what I like and what works best for me. I also work outside my home so I only have so much time to devote to the cause. I sure like it though...It's been good to come on RIU and talk about this with you peeps. I don't really have any other outlet. My job is very public orientated and I don't really hang out with "cool dudes" out side of work, lol. so I'm liking this allot.

yup, lets hope the rot don't set up shop...next time you'll remember how many nodes...I've kicked myself a few times for forgetting simple things.

Well Damn...i dunno...I think no fan myself. Is the soil so wet that you could sop up some excess water with paper towel? ...hmmm....How to dry out wet soil and not dehydrate the plant??? There has got to be a way... PLEASE HELP HIM EXPERIENCED GROWERS...(hope that works for ya, lol).

hows your grow going?

Oh, and my first grow is going very well thanks, I'm almost ready to harvest in about two weeks. I'm going to put up pic's soon, I have my second grow in veg and am waiting for my first grow to finish so I can move them over. I have two areas set up

nooo its not that wet...im growing in coco coir instead of soil. It actually drains really well but at the same time retains moisture. It has the tendency to dry out faster than soil because its light and airy. Im just worried cause i only have a little 13 watt ott light on them so its not producing much heat to dry the soil out....temps are about 64-68 regulary...unless i cover them, then the temp will be 70-75 degrees....
