Well, the Central Pacific fishing season is upon us. The Los Suenos Signature Series starts Jan. 16th. It is the first leg of 2 tournaments. The second tournament is March 13th. The first official day is only the Captains meetings and a coctail party. Most boats will fish till 2-3 practice days, coming in early for the meeting and the coctail hour on Wednesday. We will fish Monday, Tuesday and then a half day on Wed. for practice and to spot out areas. The prizes are sizeable, especially if you are in the calcuttas. This is pacific billfishing. Marlin and sailfish. We fish a style called "bait and switch." This essentially means we have mostly teasers in the water with no hook and when the fish come up in the spread we tease them to the boat and then drop back a pitch bait with a ballyhoo and a circle hook on it. It's all finesse. They throw a big party for you on the last day and everyone gets a very nice gift basket at the pre tourney coctail hour.
Now down to business. You want to have 4 anglers on your boat for these tournaments. That is the max allowed but also it allows you to cover the 4 corners of the spread. I've had an angler drop out and a few other guys who can't make it. So...I'm accepting applications for a 4th angler. All expenses paid (except airfare). You'll have free lodging in a million dollar condo (www.lsrm.com) and all boat and tournament fees will be paid for. We eat 4-5 star cayered meals on the boat and you fish from 5am to 6pm so you pretty much eat all your meals on the boat. Any alcohol we don't have then you'll need to buy that. Apply only if you know how to handle a rod and the first paragraph made sense to you. (www.lstournament.com)
I wonder if Rolli will call this a contest so he can close the thread?
