I tend to stick to GH for nutes and co/perlite for mediums mate although if I was to do a automatic watering system I would probably go 100% perlite I need to check on the rules

I finally got my shit together and dropped my babies (Royal Queen seeds Critical)in some water today. I only dropped 2 so I really hope I don't have any bad ones, they did look a little small, but I have had seeds before that looked small and grew beautifully. My official germ date is December 27, I think I marked one of my cups wrong. I will be putting the one plant in my flower room with a total of 3 Solar Storm 400w in a 4' x 8' space and will be placed wherever I can squeeze the one mini plant in. Once sprouted I will put it directly into a mixture of 35% perlite to 65% FFHF. I will be using House and Gardens line of nutrients through the whole grow. Here are my first update pics!

Ok Correct Me If Im Wrong But I Thought This Was A 12X12 Led From Seed Comp??I am officially out of the comp as my new veg light came
But the seedlings where lookin good.
I could move them to closet LED's but it's 12/12

Ya, thats what i was thinking. I've been under 12/12 from seed since i was under the impression that was a rule. That means you're set D3. Just throw it in your flowering tent.

Decided im going to use Royal Queen Seeds: 'Special Queen #1'. Will start the 2 x seeds off in Jiffy Pellets tonight. And revamp my PC case aswell.

whats up guys so Ive been thinking the last few days how I want to play this so I did a few experiments with the party cups to decide what medium I wanted to use
I tested straight coco, COco / perlite and straight perlite no surprise the perlte held the least liquid therefore had the most air in the medium
IT holds 130 mils of water in a 475 mil party cup
Now the trouble with having such a low saturation is the ph and ppm is going to bounce all over the place so I came up with a small reservoir system which can hold an extra 150 mills doubling the amount of fluid yet still keeping a high oxygen content in the cup, and hopefully this will help balance the ph a little as well
it also means I can ignore the wet /dry cycle and water as often as I like .....well it makes sense to me but then ive just been smoking some heavy shit so this is what I came up with in my dazed state
The stuff I used
I spent about an hour going around the Chinese bazaar looking for a larger container which the party cup fit snugly into lol they were giving me some funny looks it might have been the red eye tho lol not sure
So I took the cup and punched some tiny drainage holes around the edges and in the center a larger hole
I then took a super absorbent rag and cut a strip about a inch wide and shoved it through the hole 4 inches into the cup and about 4 inches outside
I then took the 1L pot and put two holes at the 125 mill mark which is just below where the bottom of the pot sits
and then wrapped the whole thing in first brown tape and then white tape to cut out the light from the root zone
I then wrapped the top of the party cup in white tape so between the two containers there is a snug fit which no light enters however the rest of the cup is transparent so it could be a cool way to have a ganders at the roots as the grow develops and to show you guys im not cheating and letting the roots outside of the cup
It maybe that they will try to escape but I will just have to cut them regularly
taking this tiny washing basket I took I cut two holes to fit the two 1L pots
and then attached two small pipes at the pre cut holes
now I did start playing around with a circulating bubbler set up here, but my Mrs just looked at me and said "Really" "aren't you taking this too far " just cant help myself sometimes.... I love hydro set ups... I just keep on going off on tangents
so here is how the party cup sits in the system there is a plastic garden tray where the waste will go to which two baskets fit nicely into just kept it simple in the end
any way holding the wick we put in about an inch of hydro pebbles
and then filled the cup up with perlite
here's how they sit in the black garden tray
and here's the first lot of seeds I planted in them Anesthesia (pyramid seeds)

Nothing much going on really, except I dropped #2 early this week and therefore decided to make some lemonade instead of standing there screaming about how fuckin stoopid it is to grow plants in a cup and buried the little tyke a bit deeper in it's mix, but it definitely shocked the shit out of #2 for a few days and growth has dropped off a bit. So after that mishap I've given my little orphans a home under a BS240 and they seem to like it there. #1 is doing great now and #4 is still taking it's own sweet time but does not appear to have any problems other than it just started oddly and is growing slowly. Just gave them a nice light foliar feeding with a touch of cal carb and a drink of Mykos/SPT/Azos mixed with 20cc of air and injected in the plants' root zone. Sometime this week #1 will start phase 2, which should dictate what I'm going to do to these plants LST wise. I think.
And just a quick note to Campo;
I think that setup is awesome and can't wait to see it at work but I scream foul for no reason whatsoever, (PUFF!!!!), and think you should be listening to your Mrs. who sounds like she has a great head on her shoulders and would probably pick out better looking sweaters for you to wear if you spent a little more time with her instead of stalking the aisles, stoned out of your gourd, at strange Chinese bazaars.
And my apologies to her and her taste in sweaters if that is indeed her assisting you in those photos.

tx bruv yeah many hours of stoned mind wanders now we just need to see if it works
the best laid plans of men and mice and all that shitno the cup sits just above the waste level and hopefully rely on the wick to bring up the solution to the medium theory is I can change the tiny res any time I want by watering from the top and letting it find its own level below the cup flushing out the old and bringing in the new
To be honest I might have a problem keeping the roots in the cup at least without some pruning
so over the weekend I will make a Campos budget passive hydro mark 2
with a weed proof membrane inside the cup to save the stress of root pruning I might even cut some air holes in the sides of the cup if I do that as well
