Witch light set up is best?

As of now my plants are about 3 to 4 inches tall.

They are under (4) 24" T-12 fluorescents for a total of 80 watts and 2400 lumens @ 2700K.

I could put them under a single heavy-duty halogen 500 watts 9500 lumens @ 3000K.

I can't up grade to High-Pressure Sodium or Metal Halide until after payday in about two weeks.

No, no on the Halogen... Notice how it only puts out 10,000LUMENS but is using 500 watts...

The flouros you have will work great until your payday...

Also for only 15 bucks you can add two 4 foot flouros from home depot...

T8 bulbs....

Halogen light spectrum is crap for Plants... more harm than good

Go with the 5000k there is more blue light which is good for vegging...

Heres the problem though, you really need to get a HPS..

check out htgsupply.com

For $200.00 you can get a digitial 600 watt HPS.

Its the best deal on the internet...

You know you can alos put the flouros up and down not just horizontal...

Check out homedepot in person for the $7.97 2 48inch shop lights, then you can get the 2 bulb packs for anothe $7..

Each bulb puts out 2950 lumens for the daylight version..

if you can spend $30.. you can get 2 2 bulb 48 inch fixtures and 4 daylight 5000k tubes..

Put em vertical....

Thats how I keep my mother it is surrounded by light.

I got new burbs from Home Depot with my new bulbs that will give me 80 watts and 3840 lumens @ 6500K.

The vertical idea is good. I may put some compact ons on the side.

I can't use the 48" up down or sideways thou. (see pic).

OH OK i got ya...

You are gonna have some problems buddy...

First your "pots" are see through this is bad, duct tape them ASAP otherwise your roots arent gonna "eat" up all that soil... roots are light shy, in fact it turns em brown, they need total and absolute darkness...

Second What are you planning to do when they get bigger???

You got a Flowering space other than on top your sink?

I am rightly confused how you plan to make this work out?

You may be able to put like a piece of plywood down on top the sink, put a 400 watt HPS (400 for heat reasons for that space), and be OK, but let me tell you MJ plants get like 4 feet tall (indica) and about 2 feet wide EACH...

IDK man, help us out here... whats your plan..?

thats a cool setup
put the lights closer, the plants are stretching. when you repot, bury an inch or two of the stem.
you could enclose it with panda film, fit a 250w HPS on top, put the plants under the shelf and grow a scrog. or you could just keep it as a cool veg setup and make a good flower cab in the garage.

That's kinda what I have in mind, the half bath as a seedling room. The garage as a veg and flower room. I may veg in the bath untill I out grow.

Down the road if all goes well the bath will be a mother/clone room.

i repoted and added (2) 27 watt, 1300 lumens with daylight for color. It's got a chart on the package showing it way in the blue range. It may be 6500K or 5000K+ it doesn't give the number just the chart.

After their bed time I will redo the bulb set up.

Edit: I just put my glasses on and read the fine print and it says it's 5500K.

Update:

I traded the (4) T-12 x 24" set up for (10) 27 watts mini Spiral CFL's. I may add the T-12 to the front and rear as the plants grow.

So now the 1' x 2' area is light with 270 watts and 13000 Lumens. The color temp is 5500K and I'm only drawing 2.25 amps.

There is a small amount of heat not much, I have a small fan blowing over everything and as this is a half bath I can exhaust with the existing over head built in fan.

It's bright if you set on the toilet you need sunglass.

Here is my new light set up. There are 10 cfl's and I put an alum. reflector over them today.

5 plants are almost 3-2.5 weeks old, they popped of the ground with in 4 days of each other. (one of these is pic. it was the third to pop out).

1 is 4 weeks old it is the smallest do to my kitten biting off one of the first two fan leaves and some rocky growing misstakes 2700K lights. The seventy on is almost two weeks old.
