i am on my first grow, i only have one plant in a small grow box

10.5 inches wide by 1' 5 1/2" deep and 2' tall

im using 3, 32 watt bright white CFL bulbs on, 12 on 12 off cycle:
(i know for flowering you should use soft white but i was cheap)

and water once a day with 15 30 15 nuets

so far my plant is looking great. im looking to expand my growing capabilities and invest in a large grow box/tent.

what i want to know is what is the best grow box/tent that you can purchase online, that is fully equipped with everything you would need to start a larger operation (15-25 plants)

soil and hydro are both ok

thank you for your time.SCIMG_3368.jpgIMG_8613.jpg

a grow box= typically runs around $1500
it has:
a hps/mh
vents
a growing system

even if you buy a tent, and u buy the lights and the rest, it would only cost you less than 1000$, plus you can customize it

yeah your looking at a heavy price tag at something that could fit 25 in there that comes wih the multiple lights etc. you could build the box (small room at 25 plants) for around 100$ and get the lighting for probably around 250$ an thats being cheap

I've enjoyed BC Northern Lights products to date but I have no experience with other boxes. Click on my grow journal if you want to see one in action.

I got a Colorado grow box and I have never bought anything from such a backward ass company. almost everything was there, but they had some of the items mislabeled. ph up and down were backward for instance. Makes for some difficulty

I laugh when i see those ads in the mags for commercially built vrow cabinets and such. Some of Those could be built very easily yourself. I dont know the pricing on them but i do know they are steep. Build your own....save thousands.

great looking boxes - have even seen "barrel" grow boxes- I forget the name but their is a company that makes a round grow box, the round boxes used cfl's for lighting

Yea, now you can buy a Mars Hydro 2.5 x 2.5 tent with a 400 watt LED for less than $200. You can cultivate 4 rather big plants (for inside grows) up to 4 ft (total) height. Or maybe twice that many smaller SOG style plants. You can even turn it on its side, add one more light, and do a SOG setup because then the dimensions are 2.5' x 5'. You'd have to have the light in a fixed position because of the short height, and start flowering from clone but it could work. If you put the tent on a pedestal, meaning a 2.5 x 5 "stage" and bore holes for each SOG pot, you could let them get a bit taller (by recessing the pots). It all zips up with lots of air vent and zipper locations to make working with the plants easy. The elevated platform helps the back, a well as increasing plant height. Good luck!

Don't do the mars hydro crap that is cheap garbage.

For your grow area a pre bought box is a terrible idea. Just get panda film cut it to the actual size you have available add some 2x4s and you have a massive tent your room size for less that a 10th of the cost

Awesome starting setup, but I would be surprised if you don't run into heat issues with that light and that area. Mars emit good amount of heat so I would add intake and exhaust to this setup for it to be functional. I'm a biased hps owner who tried mars 300w and 600w before.

@LordRalh3 I second the idea for PVC or 2x4s and panda film. That's what I used to make my 5x2x5' flower tent and its working good. Only spent 45 bucks for it.
