Never cloned before ... can i attempt to yet?

3 weeks from seed. .... 24.0 cfl lights . When can i try and clone this thing!? Also, i am patiently awaiting any sign of sex here, is it ok to clone when i dont know yet if its a girl

imo no reason to clone if you don't know sex. I start clones after a month or so. or after fifth node when I start topping.

the internodes you would take as clones seem a bit small, maybe try some LST to get them to stretch out a bit before you take them.

I have to dissagree with Stumps, even if you dont know the sex theres no harm in grabbing a clone or 2 before you put it in flower. if it turns out to be a male then just dump the clones, if its a female you should have a couple rooted clones before long and dont have to worry about when you flower the mother.

for cloning i have tried several methods and so far rockwool and cloning solution in a propogator seems to be working well, just my 2¢

If you didn't know the sex, maybe you should have planted more than 1 seed?

But yeah, you can clone it now. Not sure if you should, but you can.

Nice looking indica.

Judging when to take clones is more a factor of size than age. You want the branch you are cutting off
to have a diameter of at least 1/8 inch. Smaller than that the cutting will take longer to root, if it does
root at all. So get used to looking at the size rather than age. They all grow at varying rates, eh?

Well sure. I guess my opinion came from to many clones. had a 10 plant grow going with unknown seeds. took two clones from each had them all numbered and in order. My bad I know, but after re-potting twice they got messed up. well ended up with 3 males in the original plants. needless to say now I had 6 male clones and no clue where they were in the mix. guess I should have thought about it before posting. I use bubble cloner easy to build and not very spendy.

If you don't know if its male or female, let it veg till (it) shows it sex. Then clone it.
