Using a Humidity Chamber for seed germination

I have got 5 bagseed in peat pots in a humidity chamber - but i've never used one before.

3 seedlings have stuck their heads out today and i can see the other two are about to come through as i can see the soil is being pushed up.:leaf:

I am trying to find out.

1. Should the chamber go under lights? It is indoors at the moment and gets filtered light during the day.

2.How long they should remain in the chamber?

3 Once out of the chanber, can they go under the 130w CFL's i have (6500K or 2700K) and if so at what distance.

Thanks in advance.

take them out the chamber when they have came through properly (showing leaves)
they should be ok to go under the 6500k, 2700k is for flowering.
keep your cfl as close as possible they may stretch, use the back of your hand as a temp guide ( maybe a couple of inches)

Thanks for the quick reply. I may start them 4 inches away from the light as it's 130 watts and gradually get them closer and see how I go.

Delv is correct, although if you want to use the 2700K just to provide additional light it would help....but watch your heat even from CFL.
Good luck.

Thank you!! No one needs that crap.

As for the topic at hand, ya, once they pop outa the plugs and have leaves, take em out and put them under light, 4" should be fine with a 140w bulb. Keep a fan facing the bulb and you can rum both once she gets a little bigger. I did my whole grow on 2700k and it did fine. I think they grow a little quicker with the 6500k though. Good luck! ¦)
