How do these clones look at 2 days. Pics

I wanted to take some clones before i put my plant into flower. My brother took all the decent sized cuttings
and i was left with small newish growth as i didn't want to take off any tops.

Anyway one of them is leaning but it is firm, like it was leaning towards the light (they're under a 23w cfl).
Are they okay for now. they have gotten slightly taller.

They're in seed mix soil. I nearly got a clone to root once (base was swollen)

(They are a normal green color in real life, the camera makes them look yellow)

My humidity dome is a plastic bag.

The plastic bag works great. I am worried did you dip in a rooting solution?

Are they in rockwool down their or plugs?

If not no biggy but I would strongly suggest some vitamins if no rooting gel or solution was used. In the future I would think about adding some rockwool first or plugs for the sole reason you can keep moist longer and no contaminatns are in the cubes if soaked in solution with a couple drops of peroxide.

By cloning you open up the stock, exceptionally vulnerable to disease and rot. Placed in soil you only increase these odds since many other ingredients play into your soil than fiberglass (rockwool) or peat (plugs).

But honestly day 2 and they look great! Keep up the good work, and I like the added under leaf light ;)

the stem was dipped in rooting powder, yes. I was going to get some peat pellets but my
brother took 8 clones from his plants and they all rooted in plain soil with no
rooting powder so i figured i'd do it as well.

The plastic on the soil was to keep the leaves off of the soil (they seem to have stretched a little
since then)

Good deal then vitamins I wouldnt add. Your success rate I have to admit may be hindered but i have seen clones thrive in soil. Biggest buggers that can attack you at a clones young life in soil is: rot and mold/damping off. Keep an eye for either, fan circulation is key. Make sure soil is not soaking, if clones begin to fall over give them the benefit of the doubt and secure up with something.

looks good. I used to clone with promix and clonex. just make sure that your not overwatering and mist the leaves a couple times a day and you should be good. :bigjoint:

I haven't watered the soil since i put the clones in. I'm worried i may have put too much water in but i had no rot
on my last attempt. I just gave up 1 week in cause i had no space at the time.

Day 4 and they're still no yellower than the day i cut them so i guess
they haven't started rooting yet.

8 days since i cut them and 1 of them has two small roots. How long until this clone has a decent root system?

I have them a little bit away from my 400w hps when it's on (in a plastic bag which diffuses the light a little) the other 12 hours they just sit it my room with ambient light.

I clone using MX cloning gel, rapid root plugs and a dome. This combo is killer at rooting clones I normally end up with too many plants because I always make extra clones in case some dont take but they always do. I just cut my clone, dip in gel, put in plug and forget them in the sealed dome for a week.

But can you tell how long it will take for this clone to have a decent root system that is able to support the plant by looking at

I usually start seeing roots around day 10. I have 12 going right now on day 10 and i'm just starting to see roots. Patience! Your soil looks awful wet. I keep mine damp. They don't like to be soaked. Good luck!

I know. Too much water was poured, i realised that before i put them in and the hymidity plastic bag didn't help. I transplanted to dryer soil at about day 4.

They're growing nice now. This is the first one:
